Translate Shell (formerly Google Translate CLI) is a command-line translator powered by Google Translate (default), Bing Translator, Yandex.Translate, and Apertium. It gives you easy access to one of these translation engines in your terminal. By default, translations with detailed explanations are shown. You can also translate the text briefly (only the most relevant translation will be shown). Translate Shell can also be used like an interactive shell; input the text to be translated line by line. Translate Shell is known to work on many POSIX-compliant systems. You may use Translate Shell from any Unix shell of your choice (bash, zsh, ksh, tcsh, fish, etc.); however, the wrapper script requires either bash or zsh installed. It is a must to have corresponding fonts for the language(s) / script(s) you wish to display in your terminal.

basE91 is an advanced method for encoding binary data as ASCII characters. It is similar to UUencode or base64, but is more efficient. The overhead produced by basE91 depends on the input data. It amounts at most to 23% and can range down to 14%.

The gawkextlib project provides several extension libraries for gawk (GNU AWK), as well as libgawkextlib containing some APIs that are useful for building gawk extension libraries. These libraries enable gawk to process XML data, interact with a PostgreSQL database, use the GD graphics library, and perform unlimited precision MPFR calculations. These extensions work with GNU AWK version 4.1.1 or later. We have created a framework for packaging gawk extensions, and we welcome further contributions. Recent additions include haru, redis, and select for I/O multiplexing.

ncPRO-seq is a tool for annotation and profiling of ncRNAs from smallRNA sequencing data. It aims to interrogate and perform detailed analysis on small RNAs derived from annotated non-coding regions in miRBase, piRBase, Rfam and repeatMasker, and regions defined by users. AwkStatistics is a script which is used to generate statistical data for csv data by using awk. It takes two columns from the input file, one is used to identify the row(option -i) and the other one is the column where the values are taken from (option -v).
