Using Pure Data and a Leader LBO-51MA Oscilloscope, Fracture was composed in the fall of 2021. The beginning is didactic, showcasing the base sound and image from which the rest of the piece is formed. From there, it fractures, moving from each disparate, but connected moment to the next. Both modes of its creation, analog and digital, are pushed to their absolute limits. Fracture is a single slice of the many possibilities contained within the Pure Data patch that made it.
