All transformations have one thing in common: the turnaround in the 'perspective' on what they have been through.

A need of the hour

Mental health conditions continue to take a heavy toll on people’s lives, yet mental health systems and services remain ill-equipped to meet these needs. Most individuals with mental health conditions lack access to effective care, as services are often unavailable, lack the necessary capacity, cannot be accessed, or are unaffordable. In addition, widespread stigma prevents many from seeking help. Financial and human resources for mental health care remain scarce in most countries and are unevenly distributed.

Due to extreme underinvestment, universal mental health coverage remains far out of reach, with the treatment gap for severe mental health conditions in some regions reaching a staggering 90%. Consequently, far too many individuals with mental health conditions are not receiving the care they need and deserve.
