Emirates has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Medical Tourism Association (MTA), the world's leading non-profit body for the sector. The partnership sees the airline moving into one of the fastest-growing verticals in international travel. Emirates will become the MTA’s preferred airline for international medical and wellness travellers, and the partnership will map corridors where demand is strongest across Africa, Asia and the Middle East, helping build products around what patients, referring physicians, insurers and employers require. Emirates and MTA will also engage providers accredited by Global Healthcare Accreditation, supporting the airline's ambition to become the first GHA-accredited carrier in the world. Emirates has signed two Memoranda of Understanding: one with the Knowledge & Human Development Authority, and one with ICEF, a global leader in international student recruitment standards. The airline will partner with the KHDA on key initiatives that will increase Dubai’s competitiveness and power its goal to become a world-class education destination for international students. With ICEF, the airline becomes a preferred global airline partner for education travel.
