about
I had to walk home in a rainstorm once, without an umbrella. (I swear there wasn't a cloud in the sky when I had left!) So I shielded my phone with my body and gave up on staying dry. There's something absolutely freeing about just giving yourself over to the rain. Instead of getting home a wet, miserable mess, I got home a wet, vaguely happy mess.
lyrics
Can you hear the thunder start to roll?
A burst of lightning, a flash of inspiration
Can you hear the thunder start to call?
Can you feel the rain begin to fall?
Can you feel the silence of it all?
Can you feel the moments start to crawl?
And I feel fine
Surrender myself when the storm arrives
'Cause it feels good to be reminded that I'm alive
I wanna feel the rain pull me down
I wanna feel the pain all around
Let it soak me to the bone
Let it wash away the world 'til I'm all alone
Let the rain come on down and remind me that I'm still alive
Can you hear the thunder breaking free?
Free from lightning, free from everything
Can you hear my heart skip a beat?
I won't let this moment pass me by
Counting every raindrop leave the sky
Each a reason I'm afraid to die
And I feel fine
Surrender myself when the storm arrives
'Cause it feels good to be reminded that I'm alive
I wanna feel the rain pull me down
I wanna feel the pain all around
Let it soak me to the bone
Let it wash away the world 'til I'm all alone
Let the rain come on down and remind me that I'm still alive
(Rain, pull me down)
(I wanna feel the pain all around)
Woah woah woah
(I wanna feel the rain pull me down)
Can you feel the rain begin to fall?
Can you feel the thunder start to call?
