Since its establishment, AHEPA, the largest and oldest Greek American Organization in the U.S., has consistently dedicated itself to advancing education for the upcoming generations. The AHEPA Journey to Greece program, a cultural immersion initiative, enables high school seniors and college undergraduates to earn up to six college course credits. Originally initiated in 1968, the program transported a youthful generation of Greek American youths to explore their ancestral culture and land. After a hiatus, it was revitalized in 2006 in collaboration with Webster University. Now in its 19th year, the 2025 AHEPA JTG program is accepting applications for individuals eager to delve into the rich culture and history that Greece offers. Scheduled to run from June 15 to July 11, 2025, interested parties can find more details regarding costs, schedule, courses, and application submission at https://ahepa.org/education/.
The program to Greece is more than just an academic venture; it’s a cultural immersion experience that I believe all students should have the opportunity to take advantage of. As generational stewards of our heritage, it is crucial to foster, promote, and transmit the rich traditions of our culture to the upcoming generation of Hellenes and Philhellenes.
We invite all college-aged students to submit applications and participate in this summer’s program. It promises to be an unforgettable journey, brimming with valuable connections and a lifetime of cherished memories!
