AHEPA is sad to learn of the passing of Brother Alex Rigopoulos, Past Supreme Governor, and Charter member of the George Polos Chapter 505 in San Diego, California.
A life member of AHEPA, Brother Alex regularly served as a delegate at the AHEPA Supreme Convention and was elected Supreme Governor in 1990. In 2012, Brother Alex was honored with the District 20 Periclean Award. He was a dedicated member of AHEPA and often spoke of the benefits and accomplishments of our organization.
In 2015, Brother Alex and his wife Jeanette were featured in the award winning documentary ARKADIA HAIRE by Philippos Koutsaftis in which he speaks about AHEPA and how it helped immigrants such as himself when they first arrived in the United States. The feature is available to watch on YouTube HERE.
Brother Alex will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers remain with his wife Jeanette and children James, Paul and Madelynn.
