- Coat it with grapeseed oil spray and crack an egg into the pouch.
- Place it in the air fryer.
- Cook at 390 degrees F for 6 minutes or until done to your preference.
- Carefully remove and serve with other foods.
Can you use Aluminum Foil in the Air Fryer?
Aluminum Foil can be used in the air fryer, just as it would be in the oven. When we first made these eggs in the air fryer, we used aluminum foil to make little foil packets to hold the eggs in place. This also still allowed air to circulate around the eggs.
Nowadays, we use ramekins, simply crack the egg in the ramekin and place it directly into the air fryer basket. If you do not have ramekins, you can also use silicone cupcake liners.
There are three options for making these aluminum foil, ramekins, or silicone cupcake liners. Each option will result in the same wonderfully air-fried eggs, choose what works best for you.
Tips for Making Air Fried Eggs:
- The first time you make these, watch the cooking time carefully. These were made at 390 degrees F for 6 minutes, but all air fryers heat differently so it may take a few extra minutes or less for your machine.
- Use silicone molds or ramekins to get the most perfect shape. If you do not have these on hand, foil will work.
- Get creative and add fresh herbs, cheese, or salsa to your eggs.
How long do you cook Air Fried Eggs?
- Soft eggs with a runny yolk: 6-8 Minutes
- Medium Eggs: 8-10 Minutes

Should you use cooking oil spray to make Air Fried Eggs Recipe?
Remember to always spray the foil, ramekin, or silicone mold with cooking oil spray in between each time you cook to avoid the eggs sticking.
I have used olive oil cooking spray and it works just fine in our air fryer, it does have a low smoke point. It’s best to use Grapeseed Oil Cooking Spray for the higher smoke point.
What should you serve Air Fried Eggs with?
These Air Fried Eggs pair wonderfully with Air Fryer Bacon or Air Fryer Cinnamon Rolls.
Air Fried Eggs can also be served with avocado toast, in egg salad, or simply topped with a sprinkle of salt, ground black pepper, hot sauce, or salsa.

Didn’t work. Eggs were really overdone. I’ll try a lower heat for less time next time.

These are perfect for us at 6 minutes, I’m using a Ninja Air Fryer. If you do them again, check on them at 3-4 minutes.

OMG! Perfect, and fast! 8 minutes on 360°F, just like you said. I have an 8Qt Power XL airfryer. Did not preheat. I used Pam baking spray. Definitely a new way of baking these to perfection for me!

Carol Howlett says
When I tried this, making a cup out of the foil, the foil turned over and made a mess in the air fryer. Will try it in a pyrex oven proof dish next time.
Kristy says
If you have trouble with the foil, these ramekins work really well in most air fryers – https://amzn.to/47BmTPY. Any dish that is oven-safe will work as long as it fits your air fryer.
