about

Asynchronicity is an imaginary realm, a city-state led by libertarianism in a sense of Ron Paul, Ayn Rand, Robert Nozick or Murray Rothbard. Anarcho-capitalism. This city-state's leaders are techno-lords and the social and political system is techno-feudalism where the stronger have the last word and the weakers must pledge allegiance to one of the techno-lord. Economicaly, it is neo-liberalism, the Chicago school (basicaly, Friedrich Hayek), at its highest level. The law of the stronger. Each techno-lord get its power from both a very high wealth and the ownership of big tech firms. All these firms are selling numerous goods and services and as the time passed, the quality of these goods and services dropped down. It is a natural phenomenon in that context due to their monopolistic position on their market niches. This phenomemon has been theorized as "the enshittification" by Cory Doctorow in 2022. In the case of Asynchronicity, it's impacting both the goods, services and the social relationship between the peoples.
This society cannot sustain its surviving. Its destiny is to collapsing soon or later.

This album describe this city-state and its History.

- Asynchronicity. This is the presentation chapter.
- Melancholic Arrhythmia. Some weaker people's mood.
- Heady Spleen. Some techno-lord's mood.
- Brutalis Architecture. The general architecture of this city-state.
- A Rotten Society. The enshittification.
- Escape from Asynchronicity. The only reasonable thing to do before things getting worst.
- After The Collapsus. Now that Asynchronicity felt into dust, peoples now are equals to each other. The richest ones have lost everything. The poorest and weakest ones doesn't see the difference, or at least a little.
- And Now Let's Play This New Game. Now that everything vanished into oblivion, people have to organized to build a new society and doing their best to not reproduce the same shits again.

Like the previous albums, this one has been also made with the help of virtual tape looping and virtual tape effects. But not only. The choice of used them wasn't a system, like I did with the previous album. Each tracks of this album sounds a bit different in that matter. Some a mostly exclusively done with these tools, others are not. The choice has been made to serve the purpose of each tracks. From the synths side of it, it was MiniFreak and Vital mostly everywhere. But some tracks are different. Escape from Asynchronicity has been made mostly with the Roland TB 303. And Now Let's Play This New Game, with the Rhodes v8. All the other tracks are made with Vital for the basses and the MiniFreak vst.
Same effect chain, with, in order from left to right: Wire, Echo Cat, Valhalla Echo, and TR5 TASCAM PORTA ONE. And Now Let's Play This New Game have the TR5 Tape Machine 440 just after the Ozone master chain, on the bus master. The TR5 Tape Machine 440 plugin is a very good emulation of the Ampex AG-440 tape recorder.

Nothing special to mention about the composition. If you're familiar with my works, you'll probably recognize my style ^^. Just one thing to mention. As the album title say, there's lot of asynchronicities on this album, but also some arrhythmias. Some synths seems to be out of tune. They're not. When I was able to do that, I changed the tunning of the synth from the usual one to the Pure Interval one which can give the feel of something out of tune, because we're not familiar with that tunning. But I felt that it was sounding way better with that tunning setup. You'll be the final judge about that of course. When I used Vital, I made myself the preset if I wasn't find anyone on my collection. For the TB 303, I used the first preset I found. For the Rhodes, I customized multiple presets to fit with my intention. For the MiniFreak, I used some preset from the same collection I used on my previous album, very Boards Of Canada oriented. In the track A Rotten Society, there's drums. I used a vanilla drum rack from Ableton Live 11.2.
