I am Alireza Gharib, an engineer and developer standing at the intersection of hardware logic and software architecture. My academic background is rooted in a BSc in Electrical Engineering (Control Engineering) complemented by a Minor in Computer Engineering (Software Development). During my studies, I developed a passion for data-driven systems, executing complex Machine Learning projects such as the predictive maintenance of NASA turbofans and a sentiment analysis engine for Steam game reviews. This combination of control theory and software logic allows me to analyze systems not just as code, but as dynamic, interconnected environments.
Professionally, I have spent the last three years building robust software solutions, evolving my toolkit to focus on high-performance backend systems. My journey began with one year of PHP development, followed by two years dedicated to Golang, and has now culminated in my current focus as a Rust Backend Developer. This transition from dynamic scripting to system-level languages reflects my commitment to building applications that are safe, concurrent, and incredibly fast.
Currently, I am pivoting my career to become a Tier 1 Cybersecurity Analyst. This goal is supported by five years of hands-on Linux administration experience across RHEL and Debian environments. While I do not hold the physical certificates, I possess deep technical proficiency equivalent to LPIC-1, LPIC-2, and LPIC-303 (Security) standards. By combining my developer mindset with my system hardening skills, I aim to bridge the gap between software creation and infrastructure security, identifying vulnerabilities and protecting digital assets effectively.
