Perfect entry-level trad heavy metal. This genre never clicked with me no matter who I listened to. Iron Maiden, Atlantean Kodex, you name it. I had just begun warming to Khemmis, and this might have just made me a fan. If you're like me and most traditional heavy metal does nothing for you, listen to this. You won't regret it. An epic journey, front to back. porcelainheart-
So much power on this album, it's exactly what hte cover says it is. Fills your head with imagery, it's like you're holding the flaming sword in your own hand!
Vocals are spot on! NatGibbons
The new heirs to the epic metal throne! A flurry of both speedy and doomy riffs, melodic guitar interplay, an inventive rhythm section, and haunting vocals merge into a coherent whole with depth, ferocity, and grace. Up the Hammers and Hail the Goddess! Jammer_on_the_street
While there are some clear nods to the classic NWOBHM sound, especially a definitive Maiden influence on the twin guitar attack, these Canadians breathe a life of their own into the style. I was hooked almost immediately. Street Machine is one of my new favourite jams. I look forward to following these guys. Friend of the Night
