OFF WITH THEIR CAPS

I don't often write about the style of a man, but here it goes. After looking at bankers, politicians, musicians, artists I realise few have style. There is a trend at the moment that looks communist. Dark blue puffer jackets, hoodies, sweat bottoms, old trainers. Hardly alluring, sexy or groovy. I like The Oscars, the stylists bring out the best looks in men. Bradley Cooper, Richard E Grant all look attractive so why cannot it be you men out there?  It just takes five minutes more when dressing. I have a great Window Cleaner, okay I know the joke, but we were talking about life in London and I said to come for lunch. He said he did not have the right kit on. Indeed he had been cleaning my windows, but why not get ready for anything and take a bag with a clean shirt in it and some deodorant? Just dress for success. By success I mean, dress to enjoy yourself. It could be anything. Wear a suit, sometimes wear a tie. Think positively and all will be right.
Men always wash carefully. Always wear a fresh shirt and clean jeans. Look in the mirror and see what suits you. There are so many good clothes to buy nowadays. Stay fit and exercise.
If you have a beard keep it trimmed. Just get the most out of life. Finish the look off, wear a cap. They are great and give you style or keep you warm. I love the caps by Blue Command Apparel.
Made in England and luxurious yet value for money.
Fight for democracy.

BETWEEN A CHRISTMAS CRACKER AND AN EASTER EGG

Angus steak house which is on every corner of Leicester Square, nowadays decorated with chic red brick and dark grey paint, the hostesses wearing sharp copies of Prada last season, and the men willingly running around to my every wish. Chinese girls to the right and an English and Jamaican couple to the left.

What was I to eat?. My friend the brunette chose wisely a large plate of thick beef ribs, too much meat for me running across my plate, so I chose Chilli con Carne which arrived in a swing, like a cauldron of rouge gruel slightly luke warm. I had to return it I could taste a tin or two.
Everything beautifully presented, if not a little predictable.

As I left the abrupt waiter said "This is not a fast food restaurant" Everybody laughed behind his back. Get me a private jet out of here.

As for the film Spotlight directed by Tom McCarthy, which I had forgotten. I was questioned by the brunette if I had already seen this film, I could not remember until unfortunately the first scene when I realised I had seen it at its premiere at The Venice Film Festival. It is dangerous for me to go out in public, my friend said surprisingly "I thought you only did premieres?" How right he is. Saturday night in Leicester Square is a claustrophobic experience for any Londoner.
The film is full of interchangeable parts that anybody could have played. The sort of film that gets mixed up with loads of others hardly deserved an Oscar.  Despite talk of it, there were no explicit scenes  and just suggestions of unsavoury and  illegal behaviour. As I left the usherette said to another punter "Its won an oscar, I think" Every time it became a tiny bit interesting there was an edit. Fastly edited with filming in corridors lifts and courtrooms. There was no sex or murder just talk of it. Black Mass was the same with Johnny Depp. Why do script writers find courtrooms interesting? Has to be the wigs?
Luckily I had a second dinner, yes the Mayr Clinic is out of the window. I had a surprisingly delicious dinner in Savini at the Criterion beautifully cooked spaghetti and dishy men. It was the same price as Angus Steak House with a couple of drinks included. There we are.
This morning I have been dealing with the press who want to have my views on Helena Bonham Carter's dress sense, what can I say, I liked Jerry Hall yesterday in pale blue, a great choice of man, and a great choice in the wedding dress, designed by Vivienne Westwood. Last week she introduced me to her man in a wonderfully charming way, so happy and he too at Diane Von Furstenberg's party in Los Angeles.
Today I have a mid-life crisis and now have to deal being stuck between a Christmas Cracker and an Easter Egg. Help, it's Mother's Day and I may have been forgotten.

THE TWELVE BEST LOOKING FIFTY YEAR OLDS: THERE ARE SOME EUREKA MOMENTS AT FIFTY and I agree with CS Lewis who said " I am not young enough to know everything"

Fifty is the best age of all. I got a eureka moment and have never looked back.
JOHNNY DEPP
TRACEY EMIN
I am in good company too, the delicious  Johnny Depp is available. Although I am sure he doesn't venture into the depths of Match.com, he is definitely the most attractive man alive.  The copies down the Hollywood Walk of Fame are just copies. With so many films under his belt, no woman alive could not drool under the weight of his attention. Having won awards and been in so many admirable films from Sweeney Todd to Pirates of the Caribbean, he is a non stop whirlwind. I feel I have a deep connection with this man without him even knowing it. You see he was born on the 9th June 1963.  The 9th June has many appealing attractions for me. It is my second wedding anniversary, it was the date that I later met the love of my life, and it was my first husband's birthday. It is also Charles Saatchi's birthday and two of my very best girlfriends. A magical date in my life and never forgotten.
British Artist, Tracey Emin too is fifty this year and now with her recent public award, a Tate in her back garden and shows throughout the world, my friend is truly doing well.
BRYAN ADAMS

Forget the wrinkles most of my friends are wrinkle free, slimmer than ever, bombs in fact.  A few tiny lines add to their already attractive faces. Forget the menopause it sort of comes into your life these days with a wry grin.  None of my friends look swollen and all look like they are 38. Gone are the days of  pink cardigans and pearls. Women have never looked better. It is positive attitude, and throwing away negativity that keeps you young.
Men too, and so many have new successes. There is a secret now out you can be older than forty in Hollywood and be a success.. shshsh.. it's okay.
AMANDA ELIASCH
I have never been so active. I put on a play, that I wrote, As I like it; did two neon shows called the Seven Deadly sins, in Los Angeles and London. The icing on the cake was writing a poetry book called The Sins of a Butterfly.  With so much action under my belt I have  never  been happier.  I also decorated six houses and lived between Paris, London and Los Angeles.
If there are moments when you could think the world is crumbling around you, I say get out of bed and go for a bicycle ride or learn the tango.
Now I am finishing my first film, The gun, the cake and the butterfly, writing my second, and life has never looked more action packed.

MEN WEARING NAIL VARNISH

Have you noticed more men are wearing nail varnish. I have. It seems to me that there are more men in the local nail salon in Beverly Hills than women.  It seems to be the rage, From Keith Richards, Al Pacino, David Arquette and Johnny Depp these men seemed to make it incredibly cool to have their finger nails painted a dark navy or brown.  I love it, after all it gives me a chance to meet the man of my dreams if they are sitting with their feet in hot water, they are already in trouble,  I love a man who is a bit of a dandy,
