Katerina Kochetova's debut album, Beyond Motion, isn't just an album, it's a journey through the vibrant landscapes of contemporary jazz. Drawing inspiration from the pulsating energy of the New York jazz scene, each track weaves intricate melodies and rhythms, inviting listeners into a world of
musical exploration.
With all tracks composed by 23 years old pianist Katerina, Beyond Motion is something of an auteur album augmented by a stellar line-up of musicians that includes Swedish bassist Hugo Lof and Brazilian drummer Matheus Jardim. This trio plays throughout Beyond Motion and is joined by Slovenian Jure Pukl on Tenor Sax and a 2nd Brazilian, Joander Cruz on Alto Sax for four of the compositions. This group of mesmerising and innovative musicians bring a dynamic synergy that will captivate and entrance the listener just as they do their live audiences.The pre-order tracks included here are the first single release from the album, Untitled#4 (out now) along with the fantastically named NTWTWTATST (Things We Say) prior to the full release on Friday 21st of June. The superb artwork for Beyond Motion is from an original painting from Katerina Kochetova herself and showcases her talent as a visual artist as well as a composer, musician and bandleader.
