    Excellent Tool for Landscape Photographers.
Excellent tool for any photographer using a tripod, an L bracket and a nodal rail. Absolutely a “must have.” The tool is a bit large due to the bottle opener that probably has limited use. The larger size does allow for more secure tightening. My initial thought was, I wish it were black, but the blue color makes it stand out for quick and easy access.I liked it so much that I bought 6, one for each member of my team. We now call ourselves, the Blue Team. Oh, the price point is absolutely correct. I’ve seen similar tools costing 3X as much. I’m lovin’ it. . . . bgs.

I originally got one of these multi tools with an L bracket, and I felt an extra on my tripod would be handy.
The tool has the Allen key that the same size used in many mounting plates and a flat blade that works well too. The overall size prevents you from over-tightening the screw, and the clip allows you to mount it where it will be most convenient.
The hang dandy bottle opener works well with twist off and regular caps.

I do not own any other 3Legged Thingz products. I do have several things that take this size hex tool though, and I thought this would be a good addition to my camera bag. It’s a really nifty little tool and works for tightening/loosening tripod plates and a few other things. Much better having this than trying to make sure I have a single small hex of the same size in my bag. Those things end up being hard to find when you need them, but I’ve not had that issue with this. It’s easy to grip and use as well which is the best. I’m not sure about longevity yet as I purchased this heading into the coronavirus shutdown and my events have either been canceled or rescheduled, so I haven’t had the chance to use it in the field. I have used it just around locally and it seems great. I keep it in my gear bag and can easily find it because of the color. 4 stars for usefulness but as yet undetermined longevity. You can be sure I’ll comment down the road if my assessment changes.

I purchased this multi-tool to tighten and release tripod plates on my camera. It's so convenient and easy to use and the best part is that I can just clip it to my camera bag. I just returned from a photography trip to Iceland where I used this tool daily. I was the envy of my fellow photographers....they all want one!

Cool ballistic nylon 3-Legged-Thing tripod tool. I love my "Brian" travel tripod and seeing this little guy's features, I had to buy one for Brian. Its alittle expensive for what it is, but, it is very well made, tough, and has practical uses besides working on your 3-Legged-Thing tripod. (like popp'n a cold one after hiking to the summit for the sunrise shot).

1.0 out of 5 stars $13 Allen wrench
Reviewed in Canada on August 16, 2023
Basically your paying $14 for an Allen wrench wrapped in plastic

As you can see from the picture, that the flat head driver is so short, the body of the tool gets caught on the safety stops of the QR plate. In the sales video, there is a person using it to install a QR plate so I bought it for two jobs and it failed one.

I don't consider a bottle opener a tool, or at least not a consideration for buying any tool.

I have little confidence the plastic carabiner will last as well. It will bet returned. Not worth the little money it costs
