Product Description

If you’re starting off into the realm of do-it-yourself construction, or are a frugal homeowner looking to make their own repairs, then this Ridgid kit is for you. 7 Pieces are included here to give you a headstart into your important work. The main attraction is the Ridgid R860052 drill / driver. It has up to 1,500 rotations per minute, with a 2-speed gearbox that lets you decide if you want to work at lower or higher speeds. The 24 position clutch allows you to select lower or higher torque, which helps you work with delicate and heavy-duty jobs alike. Its rubber overmold on the pistol grip allows you to handle this drill with ease, even in slippery conditions, and get up into the tight places you need. Behind the unit is a slot to keep your bits, where you’ll find that there is a phillips / flat head hex bit already included so you can get to driving fasteners as soon as possible. There are two 1.5 Amp Hour Hyper lithium ion batteries that work with this drill and anything else in Ridgid’s 18 volt power tool lineup. Use these as backups for when you need to work long hours without a charger. You won’t have to be without a charger, though, because one is included. It has an onboard LED status indicator for your batteries, letting you know when they’re charged and if they’re damaged or not.     I'm pleased with my new R860052K trill kit, but am disappointed that it does not have a built in work light...otherwise it is a good value. I would have preferred to go brush-less, but I just didn't think it was worth the extra $$ the vendor was asking. I do household maintenance projects, and my son in law left a ridged drill/driver with me along with a charger and a dead battery. He was not the original purchaser so therefor the "LIFETIME WARRANTY" could not be applied to the dead battery. I had no trouble registering my new purchase and look forward to many years of service from it.

    This drill is for housework. Very light duty with a plastic chuck. This drill is designed for drilling through wood or softer materials, not for dealing with metal or steel or even driving in screws. This drill is way below even Ryobi or other off brand labels. Don't buy it.

    The batteries did not work. When I contacted rigid about this they stated that the drill was manufactured in 2009. I bought this set in 2016. The seller did apologize profusely and offer a refund or replacement. I do use the drill and satisfied with the product and am planning to have the batteries reworked someday.
