The 8 inch Speedlite Square is formed from lightweight, high-impact structural composite, and is available in matte gray, high-visibility yellow and high-visibility orange. It’s basically the same as the one and only Speed Square but is also great for use with siding and other delicate materials, since it won’t mar soft finishes. Plus, its 8 inch size means it’s ideal for marking cuts in 8 inch siding. Look for the Diamond Cut Out on all genuine Swanson Speed Squares.

Perfect square for most any carpentry/craft projects. Tough plastic is lightweight and marks are easy to read. Hi-Viz orange makes it harder to lose. I am a contractor and for general crew usage it is ideal.Even the most inept junior assistant carpenters helper on my crew loves it. And I love it withgreat price point, hi-viz and its tough. Excellent . I bought 2 of these . Paid cash.As a professional building contractor in Eastport , Maine , I highly recommend this square.

    Might be plastic, but cheapeat i could find that wasnt around $100. I mainly work with a 16" mechanical seam panel and comes very handy for saving time in squaring off a panel for a cut as most squares are 7" and you either have to eyeball 2", or extend the line with the flat part. With this square, you get the job done faster and fits in the same square pocket in your tool pouches. Made out of plastic, but i aint misusing the dam tool. I still have to eyeball about a 1/4" because it doesnt fully reach 8", due to the edge curvature it gets 7-7/8" mark. Might purchase a good one after this breaks, but atleast i know it fits the tool pouches almost the same. Sticks up just a little higher, but doesnt bother, for what it does. Super lightweight too. I write my measurements on the flat part and they erase easily with thumb
