DE PARÍS

 

Mi hermana pequeña viajó a París la semana pasada. Me envío una foto de una mercería y le encargué unos ovillos con los que tejerme algo similar al este suéter.

No me puedo resistir a la tentación, a pesar de que mi casa va pareciendo un almacén de lanas otras vez.

My youngest sister traveled to Paris last week. She sent me a photo of a wool store and I ask her for bringing me some balls to knit something similar to this sweater.

I can't resist the temptation, although my house looks like a wool warehouse again.

DESDE EDIMBURGO PARA MÍ

Todo esto me auto regalé en mi viaje de la semana pasada porque yo lo valgo:
1.- Cuatro ovillos de lana (90% aran, 10% silk) para tejerme un chaleco.
2.- Una revista de ganchillo con dos agujas de regalo.
3.- Una revista de punto con otra especial de gorros de regalo.
4.- Otra revista de punto, que compré en una tienda vintage, editada en 1948.
5.- Un libro en inglés que tiene pinta de ser divertido.
6.- Unos pendientes de plata con forma de hoja muy livianos.

All this I gave myself in my last week trip, because I'm worth it:
1.- Four balls of wool (90% aran, 10% silk) to knit a vest.
2.- A crochet magazine with two crochets free.
3.- A knit magazine with another special issue (animals hats) free.
4.- Another knitting magazine, that I bought in a vintage store, published in 1948.
5.- A book in English that seems funny.
6.- A pair of very light, leaf shape, silver earrings.

EDIMBURGO

Del 30 de junio al 3 de julio he estado en Edimburgo. ha sido un viaje corto, pero muy bien aprovechado. Todo ha salido muy bien. El tiempo, que suele ser frío y nuboso, fue templado y soleado la mayoría del tiempo. La comida, de la que no esperábamos mucho, ha sido deliciosa (salvo la primera). La gente encantadora y la ciudad llena de magia. Además de las mil y una anécdotas que hemos tenido desde el vuelo de ida. He podido practicar inglés pero solo un poco, porque en cada esquina encontrábamos un español.

I was in Edinburgh since June 30th. to July 3rd. It was a short trip but intense. Everything was OK. The weather, that is usually cold and cloudy, was warm and sunny most of the time. Food (which we didn't expect too much) was taste, except for the first meal. People are charming and the city is magic. Besides, one thousand and one anectode that we had. the first was in the outbound flight. I could practise English but not too much because in every corner we find a Spanish.

DESDE COPENHAGUE CON AMOR

Esta vez si que me he podido traer lanas de mi viaje. Por suerte hace un mes una teje-amiga viajó a Copenhague y me comentó donde había comprado lana. Siguiendo sus instrucciones me acerqué a la tienda y compré un par de ovillos. Es una  muy coqueta donde además de lanas y algodones venden hilos de bordar. Uno para mí y otro para mi madre. Con ellos nos tejeremos un chal cada una de recuerdo.

This time I could buy wool from my trip. Luckily a knitter-friend traveled to Copenhague a month ago and she told me where she had bought wool. The shop is cute and, besides wool and cotton,  embroidery thread is sold. Following her instructions I found the shop and I bought a pair of skeins. One for me and the other one for my mother. With them we are going to crochet a shawl as a souvernir.

La más oscura es para mi madre, la otra para mí.

The darknest one is for my mother, the another one for me.

LEGOLAND-COPENHAGUE

Hemos pasado unos días en Dinamarca. Mi hijo es un fanático de los LEGO así que para este verano planeamos visitar el parque de LEGO, en Billund, de donde surgieron.Y ya que íbamos tan lejos teníamos que aprovechar el viaje así que también nos hemos acercado a Copenhague. El clima ha sido muy bueno: entre 25-28ºC y soleado. Nos comentaron que habíamos sido muy afortunados porque tantos días seguidos de sol no es nada habitual. Lo que no sabían ellos era que siempre que viajamos nos llevamos el calor de Murcia en la maleta (ya nos pasó en Andorra, en Segovia, Ávila....)

Mi hijo superfeliz y nosotros encantados. Además ha sido la primera vez que he tenido que comunicame en inglés y he superado la prueba sastisfactoriamente :)

We have spent a few days in Denmark. My son is a LEGO fan, so we planed, in our summer trip, to visit the LEGO park, in Billund, where they came from. And we had also visited Copenhagen. The weather has been very good: between 25-28ºC and sunny. They told us that we had been very lucky because so many days of sunshine is not usual. What they did not know it is that we always travel with the heat of Murcia in the suitcase (it happened to us in Andorra, in Segovia, Ávila ...)

My son was deligthed. It was also the first time I had to communicate in English and I passed the test very successfully :)
