NUEVOS BEBÉS A LA VISTA

Rubén y Diana son una pareja joven a la que conozco desde hace poco más de un año aunque les tengo cariño como si los conociera de toda la vida. Esta Navidad van a ser padres por primera vez y le he tejido un conjunto con todo mi cariño.

Rubén and Diana are a young couple that I knew since one year and a half ago but I care them as if I know for my hole life. This Christmas they are going to be parents for the first time and I knitted this set for their baby with all my love.

Rubén et Diana sont une jeune couple que j'ai connu il y a moins de deux ans mais j'ai les aime comme si on se connais toute la vie. Cette Nöel ils vont être parents pour la première fois et j'ai tricoté cette ensemble avec tout mon amour.

Como me quedó un poco de lana he tejido otros dos pares para otros bebés que están a punto de nacer.

As it left some wool I've knitted two pairs of booties for two babies that are going to be birth soon.

Comme il y a resté un peu de laine j'ai tricoté deux paires de chaussons pour deux bébés qui vont être nés sans plus tarder.

TOP ORGULLO

 

Diseñé este top para vestirlo el día en el desfile del "Día del Orgullo", pero lo terminé con retraso. Así que lo he estado luciendo en la playa en agosto. Para el año próximo ya lo tengo.

I designed this top for wearing in the "Pride Day Parade" but I finished it late. So, I've been showing off on the beach in August. Now it's ready for next year parade.

J'ai designé ce top pour porter pendant "La Marché des Fiertés" mais je l'ai fini tard. Pourtant, j'ai le porté souvent cet été à la plage.  Maintenant j'ai mon top pour l'année prochaine.

CAMISETA MORADA

Me he tejido esta camiseta, que es todo un clásico, en uno de mis colores favoritos (el otro es el amarillo).

I've just knitted this sleeveles shirt for myself, which is a real classic, in one of my favorite colour (the other one is yellow).

J'ai tricoté cette veste pour moi, c'est un patron traditionnel, en une de mes couleurs préférés (l'autre est le jaune).

MOHAIR (II)

El segundo de la temporada y directo al altillo hasta el próximo invierno. Ayer 32ºC de máxima y para hoy se espera más o menos lo mismo. Me he aficionado al mohair, tan calentito y ligero, nada que ver con el que vendían hace unos años que picaba un horror.

The second one of the season and it goes directly to the wardrobe. Yeterday it was 32ºC hightest and today is going to be more or less the same. Lately I'm fond of mohair, so warm and light, nothing to do with the other one that was sold when I was a child which itched like chili.

Le deuxième de cet année et directement au placard jusqu'à l'hiver prochain. Hier fait 32ºC maximun et aujourd'hui va être plus ou moins la mème température. Maintenant j'aime le mohair, si chaud et léger, rien à voir avec celui d'il y a quelques années qui piqueait un horreur.

MITONES

 Ante todo, espero que los Reyes Magos os hayan dejado muchos regalos.
El mismo patrón, pero en versión mitón. Esta vez para mi hija.

First of all, I hope 'Three Wises Men' have brought you many gifs.
It's the same pattern but in miton version. This time I knitted them for my daughter.

Tout d'abord, j'espère que les Rois Mages vous ont laissé beaucoup de cadeaux. 

Le même patron, mais en version mitaine. Cette fois pour ma fille.

DEMASIADA INSPIRACIÓN

 Esto es lo que pasa cuando estás demasiado inspirada. Septiembre ha pasado y no os he mostrado nada porque todo lo que estoy haciendo está en proceso. A ver si consigo centrarme y en octubre acabo algo.

This is what happens when you are too much inspired. September has finished and I didn't show you anything because all is in progress. I hope to be concentrated and finishing the projects in October.

C'est ce que se produit quand tu es trop inspirée. Septembre est passé et je n'ai  montré pas rien car tout c'est en cours. Voyons si je peux me concentrer et en Octobre et je termine quelque chose.

CHAQUETA DE BAMBÚ PARA EL OTOÑO

Acabo de terminar esta chaqueta. Es lo primero que tejo de bambú. Me parece un material muy recomendable. Se desliza por las agujas muy suavemente y se deja tejer muy rápido. Creo que repetiré la experiencia pronto.

I've just finished this cardigan. It's the first garment that I knitted with bamboo. In my opinion it's a material highly recommendable. It slips easily and it can be knitted quickly. I believe that I'll repeat the experience soon.

PARA GALA

 

Esta manta es para la primera nieta de mis vecinos que nacerá en breve.

El modelo lo copie de una amiga tejedora.

I knitted this baby blanked to my neighbour's first grand-daughter who is going to be born soon.

I copied the pattern from a knitting friend.

ALBA (II)

 Celia tiene una pequeña hermana mayor. No quería dejar de hacerle un regalo a ella también. He usado el ovillo que me sobró de su manta y un resto del chal de mariposas. Estoy muy contenta del resultado, sobre todo del cuello. El patrón, como casi siempre, sobre la marcha.

Celia has a little older sister. I wanted to girft her also. I used the leftovers Alba's blanket and the Butterflies' shawl . I'm proud of the result, specially with the collar. The patter, as usual, made while knitting.

CHAQUETA PARA PEPE

 Después de 20 años le he vuelto a tejer una chaqueta a Pepe. Antes le hice una gris. También le tejí dos jerseys: Uno negro y rojo con un diseño de dragones que hizo él (y que en invierno está en el respaldo de su silla gamer porque salió demasado grande) y un jersey irlandés en tweed que ahora usamos nuestra hija y yo (Se lo tejí el primer año que nos conocimos, entonces estaba muy muy delgado, ahora está delgado y no le sirve).

I've knitted a jacket to Pepe after 20 years. Previously, I knitted a grey one. Besides I made him two sweaters: One in black  and red with a dragon design that draw Pepe (now in winter is in the gamer chair because I knited it huge) and an Irish one with tweed wool that nowadays wear our daugther and I (I knitted it the year we met, then he was really skinny, now he is only skinny and it doesn't fit him).

COPENHAGUE ESCONDIDO

Hace un par de años estuvimos en Copenhague y de recuerdo me traje un ovillo multicolor con el que pensaba hacerme un chal. Cuando acabé el jersey negro de mi hija, cambié de opinión y decidí usar las dos lanas juntas para hacer otro jersey porque creo que le daré más uso que a otro chal. Le he puesto de nombre "Copenhague escondido" porque me costó mucho trabajo encontrar la tienda. Tenía la dirección y pasé tres veces por delante hasta que la vi. Resulta que estaba en un semisótano y delante siempre había mucha gente porque es una plaza muy concurrida y a eso hay que añadirle mi dosis de despiste para entender la situación.

Espero que os guste. A mi me encanta. Estoy deseando de que llegue el otoño para ponérmelo.

We were in Copenhagen a couple of years ago and I bought a multicolour skein as a souvenir. I thought knitting a shawl. When I finished my daughter's black jersey I changed my mind and I decided to use both wools to knit another sweater. I think that I'll use it more than a shawl. I've named it 'Hidden Copenhagen' because it was very difficult to find the shop. I had the address and I was there three times until I watched it. The shop was in a semi-basement and in front of it there was many people because it is a crowed square, and you have to add that I'm pretty absent-minded to understand the situation.

I hope you like it. I love it. I'm looking forward to wearing it next autumn.

STELLA

En diciembre de 2018 Pili Menéndez, mi amiga invisible, como parte de su regalo me envió 2 ovillos de Katia Stella. Con 1 he tejido este suéter para mí. Es el más liviano que he hecho nunca. No llega a 100 gr. No vayáis a creer que lo he hecho esta semana. Lo empecé el año pasado, pero llegó el calor y lo dejé aparcado. Cuando iba a retomarlo empecé mi odisea, así que lo terminé el sábado.

Con el otro ovillo tengo pensado hacer un chal para otra compi.

In December 2018 Pili Menéndez, my invisible friend, sent me t2 Katia Stella balls as part of her gift. Knitting this sweater just needed one balls. It's the lightest sweater I've ever done. But you shouldn't think that I've knitted it last week. I started it las year but when heat came I kept it. In autumn I started my odyssey, so I could finish Stella last Saturday.

With the other ball I've planned a new swhal to one dear colleague.

TURBANTE

En la reunión de enero Marisa estuvo tejiendo un turbante muy chulo. Yo propuse que para la reunión de febrero lleváramos cada una uno para hacer más divertida la reunión y aprovechando que el carnaval está a la vuelta de la esquina. Aquí está el mío.

In our meeting of January Marisa was crocheting such a beautiful turban. I proposed that each one have to make their our turban and showing off in February... Carnival is just arround the corner. Here you have mine.

CUELLO BICOLOR

Hoy es el cumpleaños de mi prima Mari Carmen y le he tejido un cuello. Ella es muy fan de ellos. La lana que he usado es la que me regaló "Un hada entre telas" el año pasado en el Día Internacional de Tejer en Público, que además coincidió con mi cumpleaños. Un ovillo de Katia "cyclone" en tonos verdes y azules. Me hubiera haberlo hecho un poco más largo, pero la lana no dio para más.

Today is my cousin Mari Carmen's birthday, so that I've knitted a cowl to her. She loves them. I've used  the yarn that "Un hada entre telas" gifted me in the Knit in Public International Day last year, that was my birthday too. It was a Katia "cyclone" ball in green and blue colours. I'd like to knit a bit bigger but I hadn't more yarn.

CHAQUETA PARA JF

Esta lana la compré hace unos meses, pero la dejé en espera porque enseguida empezaba el calor y JF está creciendo muy rápido. Cumplió 11 años hace un mes y ya es casi tan alto como yo.

Le hice la franja gris pensando que me iba a faltar lana, pero al final he tenido de sobra.

JF está muy contento y la he acabado justo cuando a empezado el frío.

I bought this wool a few months ago. I didn't knit until now because JF is growing very fast. I've just finished now that is time to wear it. JF is 11 since October and he is almost tall as  me.

I knitted a grey line because I thought that I had a lack of wool, but I've actually had enough.

JF is pretty happy with his new jacket.

NUEVAS LANAS

La bolsa grande de las lanas estaba empezando a vaciarse, así que tenía que volver a llenarla.
La lana blanca con motitas de colores es para hacer una manta de ganchillo para el hij@ de mi prima pequeña que nacerá en febrero.
La lana negra es para hacerle un jersey de canalé a mi hija. Ni el color ni el punto son lo que más me apetece, pero para una vez que me pide algo no le iba a decir que no.

My huge wool bag was going to be half-empty, so I had to fill in again.
The white wool with color spots will be a crocheted baby blanket to my younger cousin's baby who will be born in February.
The black one is to knit a ribbed point sweater to my daughter. Neither the colour or the point are my favourite, but for once that she asks me for something I couldn't say no.

TERMINADO AL FIN

Como se suele decir "a la tercera va la vencida". Tres veces he empezado este jersey. He tardado casi tres meses en tejer algo tan sencillo como esto. La primera vez lo deshice porque el punto no era apropiado, la segunda porque no calculé bien los puntos y era demasiado grande, la tercera fue la definitiva. De todas formas aún tengo un par de meses para poder usarlo este año.

As it is said "the third time is the charm". I started this jersey three times. I've needed almost three months to finish something so easy like this. First time I undid it because the pattern wasn't appropriate, second time I undid it because I was knitting it too much huge, and the third time was the definitive. In any case, I have a couple of month left to wear it this year.

MALA ELECCIÓN

El pasado día internacional de tejer en público, además del ovillo de lana, me regalaron una revista de DMC. Un modelo me gustó especialmente y empecé a tejerlo. Pero hay un problema: El hilo es multicolor y desmerece el trabajo. Así que voy a deshacerlo y tejerlo en un punto más sencillo que será más apropiado para este tipo de hilo, porque a veces menos es más. Este magnífico patrón me lo reservo para otra lana en color liso.

Last world wide day of knit in public, besides the big bag of wool, they give a DMC magazine as a present. I liked a pattern especially so I started to knit it. But there is problem: I'm knitting it in a multicoloured thread so it demeans the patters. For that I'm going to undo it and I'll start again with a new and simple pattern, because sometimes less is more. I'll reserve this superb pattern to another wool in one colour that I think it is more suitable.

INSPIRADA

Así me siento últimamente. Con la primavera han llegado a mi cabeza un montón de ideas nuevas para tejer. Ahora mismo, además del CAL en el que estoy participando, estoy tejiendo un suéter a dos agujas para mí, un chal de ganchillo para regalar a una amiga y unas fundas de ganchillo para las sillas y taburetes de la cocina. El hilo que estoy utilizando para las fundas en principio estaba destinado para hacerme un suéter color arco iris. Lo empecé pero es un poco grueso y quedaba muy rígido y no es esa la idea que yo tengo en mente. De manera que después de llevar casi media espalda lo deshice y le di un nuevo uso que creo que es más apropiado para este tipo de hilo.

Eso sí, saltando de una labor a otra, no creo que termine pronto ninguna.

That's how I feel lately. With spring a lot of new knitting and crocheting ideas  have come to my mind. Right now, besides the CAL in which I'm joining, I'm knitting a sweater for myself, crocheting a shawl as a present to a friend and  crocheting the covers for chairs and stools of the kitchen. The thread that  I'm using for the covers had to be a rainbow colored sweater. I started it, but it was a little thick and  rigid and it didn't look like the idea that I have in mind. So that, after knitting almost half of the back part I undid it and I'm giving a new use that I think is more appropriate for this kind of thread.

Of course, jumping from one to another project, I don't think that I will finish any ot them soon.

CHALECO DE MIL COLORES

Mi último trabajo. Como ha vuelto el mal tiempo hoy he estrenado mi nuevo chaleco. 

My last job. We have a few days of cold weather again, so today I put on my new vest.
