Just A Little Note

Hello crafty friends!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for a Newton's Nook challenge over on their Inky Paws  Challenge Blog

I made this card for Challenge #220 with a theme of polka dots.  I die cut a scalloped rectangle from red polka dot paper and adhered it to a black card.  Next, I die cut a stitched rectangle from white card stock and inked it with Mowed Lawn and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks.  I stamped the sentiment on the rectangle and matted it onto black card stock.  I stamped the adorable image from the Garden Mice stamp set, colored it with copics, and fussy cut it.  I used a black gel pen on the mouse's eyes and adhered it to my card with foam tape.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Crafty Meraki - I Just Heard It's Your Baa-thday!

Hello friends!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for an Instagram Collaboration Hop between Crafty Meraki and Newton's Nook Designs.

These cute little sheep are from the Baa stamp set.  I stamped the sheep on Neenah cardstock, colored them with copics, and diecut them using the coordinating Baa Die Set.  I made a slimline card that measures 3.5" x 8.5".  I used the Crafty Meraki View From My Window Slimline Die to diecut the pink checked pattern paper.  I used the Grassy Edges Stencil and the Mini Cloud Edges Stencil to add the grass and sky behind the diecut openings.

I heat embossed the sentiment on dark grey cardstock with white embossing powder.  I adhered the diecut frame and sheep with foam tape and then I adhered the sentiment strips onto the card.  Lastly, I added a few tiny heart embellishments from my stash.

Copics:
Sheep - C5, C3, C1, C0, C00; E01, E00, E000

Be sure to jump over to Instagram and join in the collaboration hop for a chance to win!  Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Friend

Good morning friends!  Today I'm sharing a card using a stamp set designed by Tracey Hey.

With our current situation we probably need lots of cards to send to our friends these days, right?  I picked up this cute Hampton Art Rhino Rascals stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  I think these little rhinos are adorable and perfect to use for all-occasion cards.  I stamped the images on Neenah cardstock, ran them through my ScanNCut, and colored them with copics.  I used Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Ink and the Newtons Nook Gingham stencil to sponge some ink onto the base of my card.  I stamped a sentiment from the Hello Bluebird McGregor's Garden.  I diecut the scalloped frame using the Hello Bluebird Gallery Frame 2 and adhered it to my card using foam tape.  I adhered the rhino and hearts with foam tape and added white highlights to the rhino cheeks with a gel pen.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Stay healthy and safe!

Trick Or Treat

Hello friends!  Today I'm sharing a Halloween card I made using an adorable stamp and die set from Newton's Nook Designs.

This sweet little kitty dressed up in a bumble bee costume is from the Newton's Costume Party stamp set.  This stamp set is so fun - lots of different costumes for Newton (the cat) to wear for trick-or-treating!  I colored the images with copics and then diecut them using the coordinating dies.  I stamped the wings on vellum and heat embossed them with white embossing powder.  I sponged distress inks onto a panel of Bristol card for the spooky background and also onto a diecut circle for the moon.  I adhered Newton with foam tape and added a few little diecut bats to finish my card.

Copics Used:
Newton - C5, C3, C1
Costume - N8, N6, N4; Y19, Y15, Y13

I'm entering my card in the Inky Paws Challenge 106 - Halloween.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wish You Were Here

Good morning.  Today I'm sharing a card using a sweet stamp set from Newton's Nook.

These cute kitties are from the Newton's Summer Vacation stamp set.  I colored the images with copics and then fussy-cut them.  I diecut the sand and ocean using a Lawn Fawn die and then applied distress inks.  I flicked some brown acrylic paint on the sand and added flicks of water to the ocean.  I stenciled the clouds with a stencil from My Favorite Things and then added a sun that I diecut using a Lawn Fawn die.   I used foam tape on the kitties and sun to add some dimension to my card.  I applied Glossy Accents to the kitty's sunglasses to make them shiny.  I'm not sure exactly where these kitties are vacationing, but I'd love to join them lol.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Enjoy Your Day

Good morning!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  I'm back again today sharing another card I made when I was on the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen Design Team.

I used this cute little cat from Newton's Summer Vacation.  He certainly looks like he's enjoying himself, right?  I colored the image with copics and then cut it out using the Stitched Circle STAX from My Favorite Things.  I used Glossy Accents on his fishing goggles to give them a glassy look.  I kept my card very simple by just adding some twine tied in a bow.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoy your day!

Hugs, Anita

The Challenge #55 - Sketch

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you had an enjoyable weekend and a great beginning to 2016!  Today I'm sharing a card I made for our first challenge of the new year over at Always Playing With Paper's The Challenge

Our challenge this week is a fun sketch.  I picked up the cute Newton's Sick Day stamp set at my local shop a few weeks ago and decided this sweet image would be perfect for today's sketch.  Be sure to check out all the adorable images and sentiments that are included in this set.  I'm actually more of a dog person than a cat person but I love this funny set!  I colored Newton, the tissues and the pill bottle with copics.  I used the Stitched Rectangle Die Set from Your Next Stamp and the sentiment flag is from My Favorite Things.  I also added a few enamel dots to my card.

Be sure to stop by The Challenge to see the gorgeous projects by the rest of the DT!  I hope you find some time to play along with us!

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful week!
