The song aesthetic of Tangerine Dream (also often referred to as "Tang" or "Tangs") in the 1970s and 1980s was not only new, unconventional and controversial. Compared to the later TD, it was more innovative and imaginative. Made with the simplest of means (in contrast to today's possibilities), it was expressive and inspiring for many, perhaps even enrapturing. In any case, it touched the spiritual level like hardly any other type of music before it.

Today there is a wealth of technical and instrumental possibilities for creating this type of music. And without doubt this is accompanied by repetition, monotony and eventually boredom - it just wears off. Therefore, today the challenge is not the limited technical possibilities, but the artistic handling of the almost overwhelmingly available tools.

Against this background, I tried to make some songs in the style of the 70s/80s Tangs using rather simpler means. I can't really judge whether I've succeeded, but that's up to the expert listener.

As a bonus, there's a long one-sound piece in a structure that Tangerine Dream often put on record in recent years. It's supplemented with further musical enrichments - please note the information in the song list.
