A genre mash-up of science fiction and fantasy, and a cautionary tale of the dangers of directing a nation's greatest intellectual resources toward the machinery of warfare. When the war is won on the achievements of the brilliant weapon-maker, what role can such a mind play in peacetime? Novamancer is the tale of one such martial genius, abandoned and imprisoned (temporarily) by those he once served. Lost, betrayed, driven mad, yet still possessing a deadly intellect and instinct for destruction.
