## Anudit Nagar

Trying to answer questions around agency, asymmetry & abundance, through technology, design, economics & science explorations.

Anudit (अनुदित) is a Sanskrit-derived name, meaning "rising," "ascended," or "elevated." Related to उदित (Udita), "risen" or "appeared," especially referring to the rising sun. Symbolizes growth, emergence, brightness, and progress.

## Current

CUPOC: an attempt towards a world of CUriosity, POssiblity and Creativity. Ongoing projects and explorations.

- **Dumpyard** (https://dumpyard.org/daily) — Dumpyard's daily feed is built against the finished, admired artifact: every card is evidence that the world is inexhaustibly particular, mostly unglamorous, and almost nothing in it is done, so the reader arrives in the middle of something, not at the end of it. Forty hand-picked cards a day across fifteen kinds, each closing on an open edge instead of a conclusion. Three cards a day are deliberate collisions, pairing unrelated domains that share a hidden mechanism, and a nine-card spine of things people built or fixed keeps the page anchored in what a reader can actually go and do.
- **Minds on Maps** (https://apps.apple.com/us/app/minds-on-maps/id6593667263, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cupoc.omnid) — A privacy-first proximity networking app: most of the people you need to meet, you never do, not because they're far, but because there's no way to find them in a room full of strangers. It fuses GPS, Bluetooth and NFC to surface relevant people nearby in real time, matching on skills and interests through zero-knowledge proofs and on-device encrypted profiles so neither side exposes raw data. Deliberately no feed, no followers: it shipped across both app stores in three months with no third-party data sharing.
- **Omnid** (https://omnid.io/, SDK: https://www.npmjs.com/package/zk-expo) — A cryptographic identity and coordination protocol for a web where trust and access travel with the person, not the platform. The stack spans zero-knowledge proofs for anonymous coordination, a user-controlled encrypted Vault, cross-chain messaging and a privacy-preserving Proxy RPC layer. Function Cloud offloads ZK proof generation for low-power devices, and Connections builds real-world trust graphs for social recovery and people discovery, with SDKs across ReactJS, React Native and NodeJS.
- **Convo Space** (https://theconvo.space/, docs: https://docs.theconvo.space/) — A decentralized conversation and reputation layer for the web, built so discussions aren't trapped inside a single app but travel with whatever they're attached to. Conversations anchor to any web element (an NFT, a transaction, a governance proposal), owned by the user's decentralized identity and stored on IPFS via Textile's ThreadDB. It ships a REST API, a WebSocket layer, a Web2-to-Web3 bridge and JS/React/Deno SDKs, with reputation layered on top to unlock access portably across communities.

## Writing

- **The Epistemics of Progress** (https://anudit.dev/the-epistemics-of-progress, 2026) — An essay on why we have never been more capable and less able to point at progress anyone actually feels. It argues the gap is structural: our reach expanded exponentially while our capacity to make that reach legible crawled forward linearly, leaving people to either freeze or inflate. Underneath sits ballast scarcity, the absence of trustworthy structure amid maximal input, running against a mind calibrated by Dunbar's limits for a village. On the supply side it treats progress as combinatorial rather than deductive — the adjacent possible, serendipity as accident plus prepared attention, and schooling's habit of transmitting conclusions while discarding the confusion that produced them. It ends without reconciling exploration and correction: they trade against each other, institutions over-select for correction because it reports well, and the honest move is an allocation between them rather than a virtue.

## Open Source Work

- **yeet** (https://yeet.anudit.dev/) — A pure wgsl implementation of BiRefNet, for in-browser background removal, no servers, 100% private.
- **blabla** (https://blabla.anudit.dev/) — The anything reader. In-browser text-to-speech and OCR with offline support.
- **slop** (https://slop.anudit.dev/) — A tiny model trained from birth to detect and remove AI slop, as long as it is possible.
- **economyofindia** (https://economyofindia.com/) — An attempt to answer why is this shit so broken.
- **riddle** (https://tmriddle.vercel.app/) — Tom Riddle's diary, but with a tiny LLM trapped in it.
- **tuppers** (https://tuppers.anudit.dev/) — A formula that plots itself and every possible image.
- **panther** (https://groth16-webgpu-demo.vercel.app/) — A stupid fast implementation of Groth16, zero knowledge privacy proofs. 1M+ constraints proved in-browser under 0.9s.
- **ocr** (https://paddleocr-webgpu-demo.vercel.app/) — A pure wgsl implementation of PaddlePaddle OCR v6.
- **urltomd** (https://urltomd.anudit.workers.dev/) — Convert any webpage to Markdown.
- **bleh** — A chrome extension that cleans up videos, ads and unnecessary panels from the X feed.
