Office coverage for people, endpoints, and the systems they depend on

Remote managed IT for small businesses nationwide: workstations, laptops, Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi, and business servers. Most coverage happens remotely with no travel charge. On-site visits are by appointment in the Little Rock metro; outside Little Rock / Arkansas, a travel rate is quoted with the visit.

  • Endpoints & users

Monitoring, patching, and break/fix for the PCs and laptops your team actually works on.

  • Microsoft 365 & identity

Microsoft 365 administration, MFA, shared drives, and account security.

  • Office network & servers

Wi-Fi, firewall basics, file servers, and the business hosts that keep the office running.

How pricing works

Business managed IT is quoted for your headcount and device fleet. One written quote covers the office scope before work starts.

  • Priced from user count and covered workstations or laptops
  • Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi, and business servers can sit in the same quote
  • Scope and monthly price are confirmed in writing first

Straight answers

Quick notes on how AshPacket works. Missing something? Ask directly.

What size businesses do you work with?

Small businesses nationwide. Most managed IT is remote with no travel charge. On-site work is available by appointment in the Little Rock metro. Outside Little Rock / Arkansas, a travel rate applies and is quoted before the visit. Coverage is quoted for your headcount and device fleet (workstations, laptops, Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi, and business servers).

Do you help individuals and households?

Yes. Personal and home IT covers home PCs and laptops, home Wi-Fi, backups, malware cleanup, and personal builds. Remote help is available nationwide with no travel charge. On-site work is by appointment in the Little Rock metro; outside Little Rock / Arkansas, a travel rate is quoted before the visit. Published rates are a guide; the written quote confirms the final price. There is no household monthly plan.

Do you offer remote support, on-site, or both?

Both. Most issues resolve remotely, and remote support is available nationwide with no travel charge. You do not need to be local for managed IT. On-site work (hardware failures, network installs, rack work, custom builds) is by appointment in the Little Rock metro. Outside Little Rock / Arkansas, a travel rate applies and is quoted before the visit. The on-site half day is a $375 labor block (up to 4 hours); travel outside the local area is separate.

Who will I actually talk to?

Zachary Scott, owner and systems administrator. AshPacket is a one-person shop: direct engineer access, no ticket roulette, no offshore call tree.

Can you build PCs or servers for us?

Yes. Spec and assemble workstations, personal or gaming PCs, creator/engineering rigs, NAS units, and small-business servers. Builds are parts at cost, plus a build fee and shipping, with burn-in, imaging, and deployment included in the handoff.

What happens when something breaks outside business hours?

Reach out anyway. Urgent outages get triage as they come in. Emergency after-hours remote is $125 for the first hour (minimum), then $125/hr until the incident is stable.

Do I need an ongoing contract?

No contract required for break/fix, one-time projects, or builds. Managed IT for offices is month-to-month after onboarding. Many clients begin with a fixed-price project, then move onto ongoing coverage.

How do you price small business managed IT?

Business managed IT is quoted for your headcount and device fleet. Share user count and covered workstations or laptops, plus any Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi, or business servers to include. AshPacket sends a written quote before work starts.

What is the DR Prep package?

DR Prep reserves shared cabinet space in a Little Rock metro datacenter and an internet connection independent of your primary site's last-mile circuit. Plans start at $149/mo with $299 setup. A failover runbook and quarterly review are included. Rack units, power, bandwidth, hardware, and replication are quoted separately. This is not a hot site. See the DR Prep page for architecture, exclusions, and buyer FAQs.

What is the hourly rate?

Out-of-scope remote work is $100/hr during business hours. Emergency after-hours remote is $125 for the first hour (minimum), then $125/hr until the incident is stable. On-site half days are $375 for up to 4 hours of labor. Outside Little Rock / Arkansas, a travel rate is quoted separately. Fixed-price projects on the projects page are quoted on their own line items.

Do you publish prices for one-time work?

Yes. Common projects like server setup ($175), migrations ($225), hardening ($149), backup restore drills ($89), DR path check ($129), on-site half day ($375 labor block), and emergency after-hours remote ($125 first hour minimum, then $125/hr) have published starting prices. Outside Little Rock / Arkansas, on-site visits include a quoted travel rate. Work outside those packages is $100/hr remote. Custom PC and server builds are parts at cost, plus a build fee and shipping. Ongoing DR Prep (colo space + alternate path) starts at $149/mo with a $299 setup.

What technologies do you support?

Windows and Linux servers, workstations and laptops (office or personal), networking and Wi-Fi, Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace, backups, virtualization, and most common software. If it boots or routes packets, AshPacket can probably help.

What are normal support hours?

Standard remote work happens during business hours. Game-host plan response targets are published in business days on the game servers page. Urgent outages can still be triaged after hours; emergency after-hours remote is $125 for the first hour (minimum), then $125/hr until the incident is stable.

Are software licenses included in managed IT?

No. Microsoft 365 seats, antivirus subscriptions, cloud storage, and other vendor licenses are billed by those vendors unless a written quote says otherwise. AshPacket manages and supports the systems; license cost is separate.

Does AshPacket provide cybersecurity services?

Yes, as practical security work inside managed IT and projects: MFA, patching, hardening baselines, account hygiene, backup verification, and security reviews on higher game-host tiers. AshPacket is not a penetration-testing firm and does not sell a standalone SOC or MDR product.

Does AshPacket support healthcare or financial compliance programs?

AshPacket can harden systems and follow your written policies, but it is not a compliance auditor and does not sell certified HIPAA, PCI, SOC 2, or similar attestation packages. Regulated programs still need your own counsel, policies, and auditor.

Are game-server plans suitable for office IT?

No. Starter, Pro, and Managed host plans cover game and community servers. Office workstations, Microsoft 365, Wi-Fi, and business IT are covered under small business managed IT on the homepage.
