5 Ways Flighty Makes Flying a Breeze
Flighty – Live Flight Tracker
World's Fastest Delay Alerts
Part flight tracker, part travel companion, and part predictor of the future, this first-class travel app comes in handy during every step of your journey.
Here are our favorite ways Flighty helps make travel a little easier.
1. Quickly import your flight information
Forward your travel confirmation email or connect your TripIt account to see all the details in Flighty. Or sync your calendar and the app will import past and future flights. Of course, Flighty lets you manually search for flight numbers too.
Don’t miss: Know where a loved one is taking off from but not much else? Search by route to find their flight.
2. Find out where your plane is
The app’s “Where’s My Plane?” feature offers a peek behind the air-traffic curtain. Tap a flight and scroll down to “Where’s My Plane?” to see the cities your plane visited before picking you up, as well as the plane’s age and first flight.
Don’t miss: Flighty can ping you when your pilot files a flight plan showing your upcoming flight path.
3. Get ready for takeoff
When you’re on the tarmac, tap your flight and zoom in on the map to follow your taxi path to the runway, view the flights circling above you, and check out where you are in the takeoff line.
Don’t miss: Tap Live Activities to see up-to-the-minute flight info on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island as early as three hours prior to your trip.
4. Make your connection
The minute you land, Flighty can send you a notification with your arrival and departure gates—handy if you need to make a tight connection. Terminal maps label each gate, so you can figure out the most efficient walking/sprinting path.
Don’t miss: Need to change your flight to another time? Tap Alternatives on your flight’s page to see upcoming routes.
5. Automate your travel journal
Flighty tracks stats from all your past flights. Browse how many trips you took in a year and the miles you’ve flown in your lifetime. You can also see how many hours you’ve lost to delays and the aircraft type you’ve flown on the most.
Don’t miss: At the end of every year, Flighty serves up a spiffy annual report for humble bragging with friends.
