GAMES WE LOVE

Torchlight: Infinite

Hack, slash and loot through a stunning fantasy world.

Darkness covers the land in Torchlight: Infinite, an action RPG that serves as a sequel to the second game in the hit Torchlight trilogy. Choose your hero – maybe frost-and-fire sorceress Gemma or debonair sharpshooter Carino – and wage fierce battles against monstrous hordes and gigantic bosses to bring back the light.

What we love: Wielding incredible power. Right from the start your attacks deal loads of damage and have minimal cooldown time; potent abilities such as Leap Attack and Hammer of Ash enable you to quickly pound creatures into the dirt. With hundreds of skills, traits and talents to unlock – plus magical weapons, armour and artefacts to discover – the customisation options feel limitless.

A dilapidated bridge and deadly beasts can’t stop this party. Onwards!

Quick tip: For extra oomph, link active and support skills. As the dwarven mech commander Moto, for instance, beef up your bots by linking the Summon Machine Guard active skill to the Minion Damage support skill. Or add the Maniacal Army support skill instead, which enables you to call in an extra combatant. Quality or quantity? It’s your choice!

Meet the creator: Torchlight: Infinite comes from Shanghai–based XD Inc., maker of T3 Arena, Sausage Man and Sword of Convallaria. David Brevik, one of the minds behind the original action RPG smash Diablo, serves as consulting producer.
