A couple of weeks ago, Moda hosted a blog hop called "Spell it with Fabric". I pinned every single alphabet and number and punctuation mark, and you can find it on my Pinterest board here. Alphabet quilt

This is Rae's Alphabet quilt and she appliqued all the letters by hand with a blanket stitch. She used a great collection of vintage fabrics for this quilt making it perfect for a baby. I quilted tiny loops in the background and SID around the letters. Then quilted piano keys in the outer border. You can see all the white air bubbles frozen in the ice. I took this picture a few days ago and the ice is now all cracked and cloudy from our warmer temperatures.

This is the panel that drew me away from paper crafting and back into my sewing space. For a long time I’ve wanted to make an alphabet quilt. Alphabet Soup

My shop recently received some cute kid prints. Included with the line is the adorable panel. The panel is 36" by width of fabric. So I took a panel home along with a backing fabric and binding. This was one of the easiest and fastest kid quilts I've ever made. I quilted it simply by outlining the blocks and going around the "tape measure" border.
