Detective Joss Carter (Taraji P. Henson) on Person of Interest. Another character who deserved a better exit than she got (although the episodes leading up to it were awesome). At least this time it was the actress' choice to leave. Watching this by-the-book cop struggle with and then finally embrace the vigilante lifestyle--because it meant saving lives instead of just trying to find justice for the dead--was one of the most compelling parts of the show.
