If you don't want your solder to flow into a certain area, put some white out there. But don't forget, you need to keep the area where you do want it to flow nice and clean. So I've already sanded this before but I'm going to sand it again just to make sure it's nice and clean and I'm going to put some flux on it so it'll flow nice and smoothly. Soldering is always a gamble but I do like to use a little bit of extra pieces to give me some support here and there. Stay tuned to the end of the video. I'm going to show you something else I've been working on today. So here I've heated it up and now I'm just going to wait for the solder to ball and flow. And then I'll push it together. I have a little bit of extra time with it hot because of the charcoal block. So I can make it fit just how I want it to. Let's see what it looks like. See how the solder didn't dare touch the white out? I love it. Here's some other ones I did today too. Most of these are already gone. They've gone out today. But I did order some more wisteria in. It's a very hard pattern to find. So I probably have about five more of these coming and left. Of course I'm always looking and speaking of always looking I found more of the rendezvous knives. So I've made you all some more rendezvous knife birdhouses. I know so many of you wanted this one. And I made it a little different than I did before. So here it is and look in the link and you can see where to get them.

294K views · 19K reactions | Why microcement was the right choice for us. Renovating the ensuite was a bit of a last-minute decision for us, we had already renovated the rest of the upstairs so didn’t really want to create a mess by ripping out the old tiles. Whilst the tiles looked okay, the workmanship on them was pretty poor. The surface was uneven. The grout wasn’t great and in places filler had just been used instead of grout. The microcement kit from @smartcret enable us to do it straight over the existing tiles with no need to create the rip out mess. It was ideal for our ensuite as we could do it on the floor too. It is fully waterproof after you have applied the last layer of sealant. for more information, check out the @smartcret website I will link in my stories 🤍 Microcement previous pr product #microcement #microcementbathroom #bathroomrenovation #bathroomdesign #bathroomdecor #bathroomremodel #bathroominspiration #bathroomrenovation | Kerry Kellett

an image of wood that looks like it has been painted with silver and white paint
599K views · 22K reactions | Creating a coastal faux wood grain with paint | Creating a coastal faux wood grain with paint | By Simply Made Unique by Jill | Do you know what you get when you take six colors, a brush for each color? Two flat brushes and a mister bottle. You create a really nice coastal faux wood look out of paint. The first thing I'm going to do is just put each one of those colors on with some water that I sprayed on with my mister bottle. I'm just layering each color going in between each one. It's going to look kind of messy and chaotic but don't worry, it comes out beautiful in the end. I chose a couple blues, a couple grays, and white to go on this gray background for my table to create this faux wood look. Then I mist it down with my water not so it's soaking wet but I take my flat natural bristle brush and just blend those colors together gently. You can leave the table just like this. People love this look. It's absolutely beautiful but we're going to take it a step further. Here you can see I'm mixing up a little bit of clear glaze with white paint. You can also use just a white glaze or a little bit of clear coat with some paint in it. You want it to be a more fluid than regular paint with water so you have a longer activation time. Then after we paint that thin coat on, I'm going to take a wood graining tool and we just rock this back and forth as we drag it. I used a couple different sizes to get this look varying which way I'm going on the board and adding little pieces in between. It's the perfect coastal look with those blues and grays in it and I hope you guys follow me for more furniture painting tips.

(Make sure you’re following me or the message might not go through) Here are some tips: ✨ Try to find the straightest wood pieces you can! This will help keep everything lined up and fit together. ✨ If you are using pressure treated wood, make sure it completely dries out before staining or sealing. I live in Southern California where it barely rains and didn’t use pressure treated, but made sure to use a marine grade sealer. ✨ Sand like crazy! This will help it be more comfortable to sit on and easier to wipe clean. Start with a rougher sand paper and work your way to a smoother one.
