It doesn't have to be complicated to be fun! #kidcraft #kidshalloweencraft #spidercraft #halloweenart | By andrea.nelson.art | When your kid wants to do an art project, it can feel like a lot. So, we're doing this one three ways. For when you're prepared for art and not so much. Piece of paper and a white crayon. You have to press hard. Clearly, I did. Draw a spiderweb or give your kid the crayon. Just let them do it. Watercolor paints. Sharpie. This one doesn't take any prep but you need glue and salt. Take your cider web with the glue. Cover the glue and salt. Touch your paint to the salt. Black paper and google eyes. For this one you planned ahead. Mix black acrylic paint into regula

So, we're going to make a goth blue version. Black acrylic paint mixed into a little school blue. This is going to be kind of a cartoony version. We're going to make an oval to start with. Add a half circle above that and then some ears on the sides, those little horn thingies, eyes, nose, and the long neck. Don't forget the spots. I made this one earlier so he's all dry. I'm going to paint this guy to look kind of like that guy but you can paint it however you want. I think he's so cute.

First thing is don't try to make it too big. Keep it kind of small. Kinda hard to see but I have spots for two different paintings. Second tip, just pick one color. Just start with one. I do a very simple wash of color for the sky. Third thing and most important, every layer has to dry. Totally dry. I do a simple line of mountains going all the way across and all the way down the page. You can pick up your board so that the paint flows down to bottom of the paper. Then it's gotta dry on its own or with a heat t

Watercolor paper. Folded it into a five by seven card. Gold acrylic paint. Circles. Gonna paint the edge of the circle. Then you just use it like a little stamper. I did mine in slightly different sizes. Watercolor paint. I'm going to fill the whole circle in with water first and then add the paint. I decided that the right side was going to be where I put my highlights so I left some empty space on that side and I did add a darker color down at the bottom. I did the same thing on all of these. Water first then add

Also it is hotter than Hades in Atlanta... | By andrea.nelson.art | It's early in the day so I'm going to try crafting outside. It might be a pubble by the end. Three paperplates, watercolor paints. The first one, I'm going to do in rainbow colors. The uncoated paperplates do work better for this. Very satisfying. I'm going to do these. There's an airplane. Oh, and a bug. One in yellow, one orange. Crow says hi. I already put peanuts out. They're probably gone already. Once they're dry, you're going to cut slits around the outside of the rainbow one. Something like that. Cut the inside circles out of the orange and the yellow. Hang on

Need an old gift card or credit card. Dip the edge into the paint. Drag the edge of the card across as you move up the page. Then do the opposite side. Make your trees different widths and shapes and that'll make it look realistic. It already looks so fancy and we did this with trash. I went in with more concentrated paint and added some darker spots and then I made extra little side branch thingies with like twigs and stuff. Let it dry. We do want dense leaves. We want it to loo

I do not like squares 'cuz squares are four and I don't like four. So, I'm going to do a triangle cabin. Pick a spot for your cabin. It's kind of cold out here. Watercolor paint. If I could live in a triangle house, I would. Now, we paint blobs around the triangle. You know what I like about making blobs? If for some reason you think the blob has gone wrong, you just make a bigger blob. Blobs are dry but I want more of them and that I want them to of overlap. Yep, a second layer of blobs
