Charlie Kirk Assassination, A Professional Hit?

Above, the assassin on a campus building's roof as shown in a video. Image from Stuff.

The assassin of Charlie Kirk may never be found. That is a distinct possibility.

From what I have been able to determine from news reports was that the Utah Valley University campus was not sealed off to prevent anyone from leaving. It was only later was the campus put under lock-down.

Along with Kirk's own security team, there were six police officers present.

At first, security and the police at the venue thought that the shot came from someone in the crowd. It was later determined that the shooter fired a single round from a campus building's roof. Has a weapon been found during the search of the roof? I have not heard of any reports of a weapon being found. Was the bullet's shell found on that roof? Again, there has been no reports.

It appears that if the assassin left the scene with the weapon, how was he able to leave without being seen carrying a rifle? Possibly, the rifle was a take-down model and was carried out in a suitcase, bag, backpack or even in an attache case. If this was the case, it smells of a professional hit. My Winchester Model 12 shotgun is a take-down with a 30-inch barrel and it could easily fit in a large attache case. A rifle would be shorter and easier to smuggle out.

Hopefully, security videos will be analyzed to determine how the shooter was able to escape and, possibly his identity.

UPDATE: A rifle has been found in a wooded area near the campus as well as a footprint and forearm imprint.

Top 10 Annoying Hollywood Gun Mistakes in Movies

Above, in the movie, Jesse James (1939), Frank James (Henry Fonda) uses a
Colt New Service revolver. The New Service was introduced in 1898, but
the movie is about the James brothers' career in 1860 to 1882.
Source: Internet Movie Firearms Database.

Firearm usage in the movies date way back to the Silent Era. They have been shown in such genres as gangster, western, war, cop and other movies.

Most often the portrayals are inaccurate and some firearms weren't even invented until after the eras portrayed.

Liberty Safe has an article on the "Top 10 Annoying Hollywood Gun Mistakes In Movies".

They start it with:

Since the earliest days of Hollywood, audiences have been fascinated with the portrayal of guns in movies. You can hardly find a classic action movie poster without the hero holding a gun. Trailers will have lots of choreographed gunplay, bright muzzle flashes, and over-the-top muzzle blast added by the sound editor.

Despite the typically poor gun handling skills by actors (fingers always on the trigger, pointing or gesturing at innocent people with their handguns, muzzling everyone), this is typically only noticed by people who actually own and shoot guns. And despite a seemingly never-ending supply of bad/incorrect/annoying gun mistakes in movies, it doesn’t really seem to impact the success or failure of the film at all. The majority of viewers are ignorant of how firearms actually work, and those who understand the mechanics are usually able to suspend their disbelief and just enjoy the movie.

However, sometimes it gets to the point that firearms enthusiasts, or any other viewers who appreciate a dose of realism in film portrayals of firearm use, will get so annoyed by the Hollywood gun errors that it can impact their viewing experience. Here are some of our top picks for annoying firearms mistakes in Hollywood movies.

Farmington Shooting, Four Dead

A shooting in New Mexico yesterday made national news.

It took place in the  city of Farmington, New Mexico. It is a few miles from the Colorado border and I have driven through it several times while en route to Durango and Ouray, Colorado. It is about 123 miles north of Jamestown.

Reports stated that the shooter, killed by police, was 18 years old.

According to KRQE:

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – At least four people are dead, including the suspect, and several others are injured following a shooting in Farmington Monday morning. Police said the suspect was shot and killed by officers on the scene.

The shooting unfolded around 10:57 a.m. along N. Dustin near Ute Street. Farmington Police claimed an 18-year-old man was “actively firing” on people in the neighborhood. The suspect has yet to be identified but is thought to be the only suspect involved.

Police say at least three people were killed by the suspect before officers killed him. An officer from Farmington Police and another from State Police were among six wounded in the shooting, according to the department. Police have yet to identify any of the victims or their ages.

Of course, the Democrats will waste no time to politicize the shooting.

Can The Police Search Your RV Without A Warrant?

Above, at camp near Ash Fork, Arizona. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Since we're coming up to the summer vacation season (it usually starts Memorial Day weekend), the following is timely.

RV Life has posted an article on, "Can police search your RV without a warrant?"

The begin it with:

Generally speaking, the answer to the question “Can the police search my RV without a warrant?” is no, because the Fourth Amendment protects your privacy.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Fourth Amendment

That’s the law, but of course every situation is different. It’s these unique circumstances that give rise to all the case law that further defines how the Fourth Amendment should be interpreted and applied. And that is where we encounter all the exceptions to our Fourth Amendment privacy expectations. So, what are the exceptions that give the police the authority to search your RV without a warrant?

Criminals Kill 2 Business Owners In Los Angeles

When I was in Los Angeles two weekends ago, I saw first hand how the criminal element is destroying businesses and the overall quality of life there. I was there for a class reunion. The Democrats and their soft-on-crime policies have made California a shithole.

I was born in Los Angeles and lived there all my life until four and a half years ago when I moved to New Mexico. But I was really happy to head back home to New Mexico.

Actor James Woods posted the following today:

Yes, I thank my lucky stars I got out when I did.

Japan Police Preparing for Possible Mount Fuji Eruption

Above, a Shinkansen view of Mount Fuji. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

The last eruption of Japan's Mount Fuji was during the 18th Century. Since then, the mountain has remained dormant.

That could change at any time and Japan is preparing for such a possible eventuality.

According to the Jiji Press

Tokyo, June 19 (Jiji Press)--Japan's National Police Agency has started making full-fledged preparations for a possible eruption of Mount Fuji, the tallest peak in the country.

The NPA will purchase dust masks for distribution to local police departments, assuming that volcanic ash may fall in not only areas near Mount Fuji but also the metropolitan region in the event of an eruption, informed sources said.

"We need to make preparations for a potential complex disaster, such as an eruption occurring after a massive earthquake," an expert said.

2021: Expect Gun Sales To Soar

Above, guns for sale at the Albuquerque Cabela's. Photo by Armand Vaquer.

Gun and ammunition sales went through the roof in 2020. We can expect more of the same, possibly even more so, this year.

The Arizona Daily Sun has an article on this. They think gun sales will soar this year if Biden ends up at the White House.

They wrote:

There are a lot of adjectives you can use to describe 2020. Just like all those who survived the 1929 stock market crash and subsequent economic depression, 2020 will be burned into the collective memories of 350 million Americans as their 1929 moment.

Rioting, looting, the Cancel and Woke movements, COVID-19, the move to decriminalize criminal behavior combined with the defunding police movement, leading to a marked increase in, you guessed it, gun sales.

Are shooting sports, like all outdoor activity, seeing a marked increase in popularity, or are more people worried about their family's safety? A bit of both?

Regardless, the federal background check system reports an incredible 19.1 million gun sales through the end of November. The National Shooting Sports Foundation reports that over 7.5 million of those purchasers are new gun owners.

Beyond this showing strong support for the 2nd Amendment, the on-the-street impact has been a marked lack of inventory of firearms and ammunition across the nation's retail stores. When supplies do arrive at any store, the stock is often depleted the day it is placed on the shelves.

Biden Staffer: Cops "Worse Than Pigs"

It appears the Biden campaign stepped into it.

Unless "Slow Joe" denounces it and fires the staffer, his campaign will be in deeper doo-doo than it is already. It'll show that he is not pro-law & order and is on the side of ANTIFA and BLM.

Trump's Dilemma

Associated Press Photo.

Rush Limbaugh had an interesting monologue today on the dilemma that President Trump is in.

One of them involves possible insubordinate generals who "may" refuse orders to go into the cities to restore order.

Another one is that in past years, 1965 and 1968 are two examples, governors and mayors welcomed the National Guard when they were requested by them to restore order. Such is not the case today. Many of these Democrat mayors and governors want the riots to continue and they aren't supporting their own police. Some of them are moving to defund the police.

Here's a snippet:
But I tell you, Trump has really been hemmed in here by something that I don’t think a lot of people are giving enough consideration to, and that is the already expressed insubordination of the American military.
These generals, Mattis to Milley to all these guys that have come out and basically disavowed anything to do with Trump to, say, the trip over to the church in Lafayette Park. They’ve made it clear, if Trump calls out the U.S. military to restore law and order, that they may not do it, that they may tell Trump to go take a flying leap somewhere. And he’s aware of this.
So the worst thing he could do is, as commander-in-chief, is order these guys to deploy the military and have them say, “Screw you, Mr. Pres.” He’s gotta be really, really careful about this. He knows everything that’s stacked against him. And he knows the narrow path that he has to win reelection.
BREAK TRANSCRIPT
RUSH: I’m hearing people say, “Rush, Trump’s gotta do more to stop the rioting. He’s gotta do more to step in there and stop this.” Yeah, I know. But, folks, in the past whenever this has been necessary, it was done by helping overwhelmed local and state authorities who wanted order restored in their states and in their cities. We don’t have that part of the equation right now.
So it’s one thing to say, “Trump’s gotta stop the violence. He’s got to show leadership. He’s gotta move!” Well, if these lunatic governors do not want this stuff stopped, if the governor of Washington and the mayor of Seattle don’t want it stopped — and if Gavin Newsom doesn’t want it stopped in California and if that mayor in Detroit doesn’t want it stopped — and then Trump moves in there anyway?
You know, that’s the big difference.
In the past, when there was this kind of rioting and disorder and property destruction, even Democrat governors and mayors — Mayor Daley Chicago ’68 — wanted it stopped. They welcomed the arrival of the National Guard or federal troops. But that… What’s Trump gonna do?
Today's Democrats don't want it stopped.

"Cops" Cancelled

During the last few years of my dad's life (he passed away 20 years ago), he and I would sit together and watch Cops on Saturday nights.

According to the New York Times:
NY Times
‘Cops,’ Long-Running Reality Show That Glorified Police, Is Canceled
The show’s 33rd season was expected to premiere on the Paramount Network on June 15.

The show didn't "glorify" police, it showed what a tough job police work is and what police officers have to go through.

I guess this is the latest casualty of the current "cancellation culture" brought on by the Left.

Democrats Want to Abolish the Police and Confiscate Our Guns

The Looney Left Report

As each day passes this year, the Democrats give us more and more reasons why they should never be given the reigns of power.

The Democrat Party is so radicalized that not even John F. Kennedy or Harry Truman would recognize it.

Now, the radical leftists who are in control of the party want to confiscate guns, thereby removing our rights of self-defense and abolish and defund police departments.

Sounds crazy, right? That's what they want to do and Breitbart has it all documented.

They begin with:
A radical, utterly sincere, and determined movement is on to abolish police departments.
A radical, utterly sincere, and determined movement is on to confiscate our guns, to confiscate our right to defend ourselves.
This is no accident.
But first the facts…
Links to mainstream Democrats calling for the police to be defunded, which will obviously result in the police being abolished, can be found hereherehereherehereherehere, and most especially here.
Links to mainstream Democrats like Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and others calling for — not just gun control — but straight up confiscation, can be found herehereherehere, herehereherehere, and here.
Secondly, to those of you who think this idea of abolishing the police and the Second Amendment is insane and can therefore never happen, you need to remove your head from the sand. Here are some more facts…
  • We went from zero to gay marriage in less than ten years.
  • We went from zero to drag queen story hour in about ten seconds.
  • The left is blacklisting us for referring to biological men as “he.”
  • The corporate media are now describing the burning and looting of cities as “political speech.”
  • This same media are describing peaceful protests by Tea Partiers and those ravaged by anti-science lockdowns as “dangerous” and “violent.”
  • Lego is blacklisting its own toys.
  • Drew Brees is now on his third 1984-ish public confession, a full-blown grovel tour, for the sin of expressing respect for the American flag.
  • Legions of white people are kneeling to ask forgiveness for something they had no part of.
  • Healthcare “experts” are telling us the coronavirus is lethal if you want to go to work, school, or your grandmother’s funeral, but not so lethal if you are out en masse to support “approved” causes.
The Democrat Party has been completely radicalized, emboldened, and is currently eating itself alive in the kind of cultish moral panic we have not seen since McCarthyism or the McMartin preschool scandal.
Everyone should read this and pass it on.

How To Prepare For A "Red Flag" Gun Confiscation Order At Home

Above, yours truly at the Jamestown gun range. Photo by Victor Gomez.

Three years ago, I was served with a restraining order by an ex, which included a provision that I must surrender my firearms to a licensed gun dealer or to the police. This was under a California "red flag" "Gun Violence Restraining Order" law that was enacted in 2014. Until this episode, I never heard of this law.

Rather than go through everything, this post will recount what happened. Eventually, despite some cost and a prolonged hassle, I got all my guns back after I was able to show that her claims were bogus.

New "red flag" laws are being enacted in some states where the police can show up at your home unannounced and confiscate your weapons, no matter whether the party filing such orders were truly in fear of their life or just wanted to get revenge (as in my case).

The Truth About Guns website has a good article on how to prepare for a "red flag" confiscation order at your house. Unfortunately for me, I had no idea that such a law existed at the time.

It begins with:
Last week, I shared a post by a former Alabama police officer-turned-lawyer turned prosecutor on how to react if police show up at your home with a red flag order. Just the thought of police showing up to take your guns stirred a lot of emotions in comments. Understandably so. But between the author’s recommendations and some in comments, prudent people can prepare.
Who needs to think about red flag confiscation orders? If you live in one of those states with red flag laws (WA, OR, CA, IL, IN, NY, NJ, MD, FL, RI, VT, CT, DE, MA), and now Colorado, cops could show up unannounced at your home with a court order to take your guns.
It couldn’t happen to you?
Don’t be a fool.
How is your home life with your significant other? Do you have any current or former disgruntled business partners or employers/employees? Have any issues with parents, children or other relatives?  How do you get along with the in-laws? The neighbors? Co-workers? Ex-girlfriends/boyfriends? Had any bad Tinder (or Grindr) dates?
If you’re like most folks, you’ve angered someone at some point in your life who might file a complaint to get even. Especially if they know you embrace America’s gun culture.
What can you do to prepare for a “surprise” visit from police with a red flag order in hand?

The article then tells what steps one can take to prepare for a surprise visit from the police.

Police, Sheriffs Voice Concern On Gun Background Checks

"Feel-good" legislation on guns in New Mexico has put county sheriffs in a quandry: How to enforce them?

That is why many county sheriffs have pushed for "Second Amendment Sanctuary County" status for their home counties. So far, 25 out of 33 New Mexico counties have passed resolutions declaring themselves a "Second Amendment Sanctuary County".

Myhighplains.com has an article on this:
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) - A bill to expand background checks on private gun sales in New Mexico that's awaiting the governor's promised signature is presenting a key question for law enforcement as it heads for her desk: How do they expect to enforce it?
Debate over the bill exposed a rift in the state over gun rights before it won final approval in the Legislature this week and was sent to Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who has described it as common-sense reform.
Most sheriffs have vowed not to enforce the law, arguing it burdens lawful gun owners and will be difficult to enforce. That's because a gun most likely would have to be used in a crime before law enforcement could investigate whether it had been purchased unlawfully, according to the bill's opponents.
But others, including Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza, say the measure will provide a public safety tool. For example, he said officers could follow up on complaints that felons or others restricted from owning firearms are obtaining them.

California's Loony Left Reputation Getting Worse

Each day that passes since I left California (i.e., Commiefornia) leave me thanking God that I was given the wisdom in seeing that there's better places to live.

The state has been going downhill for years and is only getting worse since the Democrats have essentially have in place a one-party government.

The lunacy is only getting worse in California. National Review has an article on the latest outrages that clearly illustrates how its loony left behavior is only getting worse.

They begin with:
In Oakland, the mayor warns illegal immigrants of an ICE raid, and a coffee shop refuses service to the police.
Move over, San Francisco. Oakland, the city of 420,000 people just ten miles away on the other side of the Bay Bridge, has shoved you aside for the title of Loony Left Capital of the country.
Hasta Muerte, an Oakland coffee shop whose name means “Toward Death” in Spanish, is refusing to serve police in uniform in order to show concern for the “physical and emotional safety of our customers and ourselves.” All over the country, coffee shops love to serve up coffee and doughnuts to cops knowing that customers appreciate the security their presence represents. But at Hasta Muerte Coffee, an employee-owned co-op, the message to the men and women in blue is: Take a hike.

Van Nuys Robbery Pursuit: A Suspect Looks Familiar!

While watching the news tonight on KNBC Channel 4 this evening, I saw a video of a police pursuit of a burglary suspect that took place in the Van Nuys/North Hollywood area.

Of course I watched it, but something stunning came on the screen towards the end.

But first, here's the story from ABC7.:
The suspect drove erratically through surface streets, narrowly missing other cars and pedestrians at times.
Once the suspect ditched the car and started running, officers caught up to him and tackled him.
A female passenger who jumped out of the vehicle during the pursuit ran into a construction area. She was eventually captured and taken away in an ambulance.
When the female suspect jumped (or fell) out of the Jeep, she was hanging onto the door and appeared to be dragged several yards on her knees (that must have been painful). No wonder she needed an ambulance later.

Here's a video from Fox 11 News (the female suspect is shown being carried to an ambulance at about 37 minutes into the video):

What caught my attention on the KNBC video was that the female suspect on a stretcher looked very familiar! I can't say with 100% certainty, but she sure as hell looked like my ex-fiancee!

The KNBC video that was broadcast had a much closer shot of her, but it was fleeting. I saw it twice and the woman did look like her (hopefully not, for her son's sake). Unfortunately, the KNBC video on their website does not include the shot of the female suspect on the gurney.

The Fox 11 video shows her, but it is too far away for me to make a positive identification.

My "honorary sister" said after I sent her a screen capture of the female subject:
It is not beyond belief with that one.  It may be possible to find out.  For her to even be up to anything illegal is not beyond reason, either.
Here's two screen captures from the above Fox 11 video:

Maybe it's her, or maybe not. As my "honorary sister" said, it may be possible to find out. After arraignment, suspects are taken into custody by the Los Angeles County Sheriff. There, suspect information can be obtained from their website. The media will also post the names of the suspects.

If it is her, karma finally caught up with her!

(UPDATE 12/1/17): It wasn't her. They say "everyone has a double", and this gal sure has a close resemblance.

The Rings: It May Not Be Over Yet!

Above, the item on the left is what I have.

(Updated 9/8/16 at 22:23.)

Now that I have the wedding band part of the the ring set in my possession, I am currently checking around to see what I can reasonably get for it.

Frankly, I really don't want to keep it. It is a reminder of someone who either lied to the Hot Bench panel of judges about our relationship or Denise Santos was telling them the truth, and lied to me for over a year. Regardless, she's a despicable person who deserves to be prosecuted.

Luckily, the set is still being advertised by Kay Jewelers and I have their detailed description of it. I have contacted several buyers and provided them with Kay Jeweler's information on the ring.

The Hot Bench panel of judges ordered that the rings must be returned to me. The engagement part of it is allegedly "lost". But I have some evidence that this claim is bogus. Prior to this order, there wasn't much I could do. But now that I have the order, I can possibly take some legal steps. Also, Hot Bench could possibly have a cause of action once they pay me for the ring. If they pay me for the ring and it is later proven that the ring was never "lost", as she stated such before the panel, then that is fraud and they can also go after her, definitely in civil court.

I am considering a possible action with the District Attorney on this. Most likely, a police report would have to be filed first if it is something that can be pursued. I will do this once I receive the orders in writing from Hot Bench to see what it may say. This has always been something I've considered.

If this can be prosecuted, I will do so. We don't give up that easily!
