There's a girl from Michigan who's trying to save the world again for you
She passed all of her classes there and now she finally gets to stare at you
But love is just a mirror on a shelf
'Cause all you need to look for is yourself
But we're not kids anymore
So turn around and turn your eyes to the shore
I'll be honest with you, I'll be honest with you, I'll be honest with you now
There's a man who passed away and now I pray he gets to stay with you
He left all of his records home and now I sit and listen all alone
But love is just a mirror on a shelf
'Cause all you need to look for is yourself
But we're not kids anymore
So turn around and turn your eyes to the shore
I'll be honest with you, I'll be honest with you, I'll be honest with you now
The world isn't spinning the way it did before
And your heart isn't winning when lovers turn to war
Hell yeah I've been drinking. I'm passed out on your floor
Hell yeah I've been drinking

I love this album a lot. It has gotten me through everything. I listened to it while narrowly avoiding homelessness, listened to it through horrible depression, listened to it while recovering from surgery. I fall asleep to it, I zone out to it, this album and other albums by The Oh Hellos have gotten me through a lot. Their lyrics and layers and poetry. How each track flows into the next seamlessly. I could go on forever about this. spotlight8010
