A very good episode from the 1957-58 show with Eve Arden. It was a good episode - plot, pacing, and acting. Willard Waterman was listed in the cast credits,

but was no where to be seen in this episode. It was always difficult for most actors/actresses to follow-up a successful series (such as Eve Arden in "Our Miss Brooks") with another successful series.

One noteable bit of casting - Francis Bavier play the part of Eve Arden's mother, Nora, before moving on to her much recognized role as Aunt Bee Taylor

in The Andy Griffith Show & Mayberry RFD. Also featured was Great Gildersleeve #2, Willard Waterman, who played the manager of Arden's New York apartment building.

This is a fairly good TV episode, starring Eve Arden. Not 'great', But not bad for a one-season-wonder.

Eve Arden, who I'll forever remember as Principal McGee from 'Grease' had her own sitcom at one point, and this episode is not TOO bad. In her show, she
...
apparently was a best selling author (!!) trying to balance two teenage daughters and mom under the same roof. Anyhoo, in this episode. Arden's book, called 'Summer's End' has just been released in paperback, and the publishers have decided to put Arden's face on another, more curvacious body. Naturally, this gets her upset, but then her assistant says its not so bad, many more people will buy it, and it will make you a sex symbol! Arden is not too sure about this but does score up a date with a greasy individual. This makes her assistant jealous for some odd reason (maybe he was closeted gay?). The whole thing is mildly entertaining, no complaints. Lovely title graphics.
