On November 5, the 𝗸𝗶𝗰𝗸-𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗖 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗷𝗶𝗻𝗴, advancing the Austrian-Chinese cooperation for #decarbonizing the industry. Funded by the FFG Austrian Research Promotion Agency and China’s Ministry of Science and Technology, AbateC aims to develop #CO2 in-situ #mineralization and #storage solutions, focusing of RHI Magnesita’s Chizhou plant. 𝗥𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗢𝟮 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗮𝘄 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀: 𝗥𝗛𝗜 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗮’𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗶𝘅𝗲𝘀 In continuation to fulfilling its commitment towards environmental #sustainability, RHI Magnesita is proud to have developed gunning mixes that incorporate circular raw materials, significantly reducing carbon emissions. Our low CO₂ gunning mixes achieve a 30% to 85% reduction in carbon footprint across Europe, CIS, and Türkiye, lowering our customers’ Scope 3 CO₂ emissions. 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 Most recently, our sustainable gunning mixes have been successfully implemented at a major customer in Europe. By switching from traditional mixes with virgin raw material to a low CO₂ mix, the customer will save around 500 tons of CO₂ annually, equivalent to 12 turns by truck around the world!
