Easy 30 Minute Black Bean Soup
This healthy and easy black bean soup is gluten free, and full of flavor. It's the perfect, quick 30 minute recipe you can cook up at the last minute. LIMA BEANS: 14 oz. frozen Lima beans 1 (14 oz.) can chicken broth, plus 1/2 can water 1 TBS butter 1 TBS sugar 6 pieces of bacon, cooked and chopped 1/2 tsp onion powder Salt and pepper to taste In a pot over medium heat, combine frozen beans, broth, water, butter, sugar, onion powder, salt and pepper. Stir to combine. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, add bacon, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until beans are tender. Remove from liquid w/ a slotted spoon and adjust salt and pepper.
