IKEA PIECES: 4 HAVSTAS, 8 billy extenders 8 short billys All secured to studs in the wall and each other. My ceilings are 9 ft. I had to build my own base because using the HAVSTA base would’ve been too tall. If you have 8 ft ceilings, you can buy the HAVSTA with the base and skip the extenders. You gotta flip that Billy upside down. That’s a key ingredient to get a taller crown molding at the top. I added extra trim to have it look more custom and seamless. Lots of caulk, wood filled and bins primer shellac too. I wanted it to look like a big piece of furniture so I did not add pieces to fill in the gaps o
