Kasuri (aizome no kasuri)

Kasuri means ikat in Japanese. Aizome means indigo dyed. I have chosen to put only indigo dyed examples on this board but in Japan, kasuri can be made with other dyes too of course, a good example being the brown silk kasuri usually used for gentlemen's kimono. Do I need to remind people that ikat is produced by tie dyeing the yarns before they are woven.
