diane queso long | Tasty crockpot queso I love a good dip! | By Kristin's Country Kitchen | Alright, y'all. We're putting one pound of shredded pepper jack cheese in the bottom of our lime crockpot. Uh next y'all I have one pound of cube Velveeta in my cat's dish that I'm also putting in my crockpot I love sharing with my cats sharing is caring and I love them they're part of my family so we share alright y'all come on it's stuck alright one pound of Velveeta we add in one can of Rotel original just like so alright we also adding one can of evaporated milk one can alright so this recipe this is a queso dip that Diane Fern Hamden I think that's right. Posted in one of my comments. So, I want to try your your queso dip Diane. So, I've never tried this before but you know what? I never made a queso I didn't like. So, alright. She also uses about a third of a cup of red onion. So, we just going to guess. I think that's maybe a little bit more. Third of a cup of red onion. I've I've cut it myself so it's not cut that well but that's okay. And then we have extra sharp cheddar cheese. Eight eight ounces she says. So, this is a pound so I'm going to use about half of this. Alright. Cheddar cheddar. Okay, let's see. That's about, let's see. That's about half. Sharp cheddar. Alright. Now, what else are we using here? Uh she said a diced up jalapeno. I'm scared of jalapenos so we're using half a jalapeno, alright? Just like that. Alright, y'all. So, I think that's it. Yup. So, we even cover this and cook this on low for a couple hours til everything's melted. Uh Diane, I'm so excited to try your crockpot queso dip. Someone was in the middle of his daytime nap y'all. Look, he's literally like a baby like I picked him up and he's just flopped. You're such a little I love you so much Poopy. Everyone loves you. Yeah he's like mama can I go back to sleep? So, this was your queso recipe. So, it's been cooking on low for like two hours, alright? So, I think I think that's good. Um it was Velveeta, Pepper Jack, Sharp Cheddar, Rotel, jalapeno, evaporated milk. I think that's it. So, this look real good y'all. Real good. Real good. Alright. So, this what we're going to do to try. It looks very hot but this what we going to do y'all. I have a little platter right here. Oh, look at my little biscuit. He's so cute. Alright. I'm going to I'm going to put some of this queso dip in this little bowl. This is very cheesy. Alright but that's good. I'm not saying that's bad. Cheese is good. It is it is cheese dip but like this is too cheesy no that would be that would be funny y'all that would be like one of the people on my videos that complain all the time you know y'all Bridges sees the comments too it's funny sometimes we me and Bridge laugh about it it's funny but most of y'all are great but some of the I don't know I just I just don't but some of these people they be like this this has too much cheese in it like it's queso dip hello right Bridges honey that's what I'm talking about alright alright so let's try this queso dip I bet it's going to be good it's too cheesy see. If you get, you know, you just gotta laugh. I laugh at myself every day. Anyways, here we go. Okay. Okay, y'all. Y'all, I'm hungry. I haven't really eaten today so I'm going to keep eating this queso dip because it's so good. Alright y'all. So I gotta tell y'all. I found this recipe online on TikTok. Are y'all on TikTok? Well I'll look at it sometimes and I saw this girl. She made this like queso dip in her crockpot and she said it's like the like as good as restaurant queso. So I'm trying it. So I'm going to be honest y'all. I've never made this before. This is the first time. So you know what I figured? I'll just I'll just do it with y'all and we can see how it turns out together, alright? I feel like it should be good but we all see. So y'all see I have my kitchen scissors here. I love using these. We're going to take a pound of Pepper Jack cheese and then a pound of American cheese. Let me get this out of here. Alright. Now, I'm just going to dump it all in. If I, man, I can't even get this out y'all. This is hard. So, we're going to put both of these in, the crockpot. Now, I'm going to cut em up in squares. I guess it helps it melt better. I don't know. That's what she did so that's what I'm going to do. Cut em up. I guess I could use enough too but this is much easier. Much easier. Alright. So, one pound of Pepper Jack, one pound of American. I'm putting this in the crockpot. This is perfect because I'm having a little gathering later. So, I'm cooking a lot of yummy dishes today and I think this one will be a hit hopefully. Hopefully it's good. Alright so I'm just going to break these squares apart a little bit. Just just roughly I mean I I don't think it really matters but again this I'm just trying to follow what she did so I guess she knows. It looks real good at the end too so we'll see. I know I'm just peeling this cheese apart for a long time but okay I think that's pretty good. Alright so we have our cheese. Next this is what she did too. She took two oops I spilled some. She took two cans of evaporated milk. Alright. Two cans. So we're going to dump these right on in. Just like so. Alright. Alright. Now, in her recipe, she put in a jalapeno. She chopped up a jalapeno and that was it but I'm you know, y'all know I like to change mine a little bit. So, we're taking a can of Rotel and I'm going to dump this whole can right on in. I drained out a lot of the juice y'all and then I also have here these mild green chilis. So, I'm going to take like a spoonful of these and I'm just going to put it right on in, alright? So, I'm going to kind of mix this. I mean, it's kind of hard to mix because we got these big old chunks of cheese but I'm just going to kind of get the the tomatoes in there. So, you like I said y'all in her recipe she just did the cheese the evaporated milk and the whole jalapeno chopped it up and put it in but I don't know I feel like I I like when I have queso with some tomatoes and stuff in it so we going to try this alright y'all so that's really it now all we going to do we going to cover this and we going to cook this on hot for about 2 hours but I'm just going to eyeball it and see when all the cheese is melting and I'm so excited to try this with y'all alright y'all this has been on hot in my crockpot for 2 hours alright so we gotta mix it oh wow okay we gotta mix it let's see alright it's a little more liquidy than I thought but oh see okay so remember y'all I haven't tried this yet this is like that viral TikTok queso but actually once you stir it alright all the cheese is melted so that's good it smells good so you know what y'all I think it's time to try alright and yes I'm mixing it with a fork alright so what we're going to do here I'm going to move this over I have a little platter here actually this is a bacon fish because I don't have a chip platter but this is what we're going to do okay so we're going to ladle some of this cheese right into this bowl in the center Alright, I don't know. I kind of feel like, I feel like we need some more colors. Should I put a few, I'm going to put a few more of these chilis right on top just like we're like that. I mean, it's not very colorful but whatever. We trying. Alright, here here it goes y'all. Let's see. I'm going to take one. We're going to see if this is if this is as good as they say on TikTok and remember, I'll change it up a little bit though but it's going to be real hot but I don't know. We'll see. Let's see. Okay, stop dripping. Alright. Okay, y'all. It's pretty good. You know what? I think I need to try it again to make sure it's good. It's pretty good. Okay, y'all. Um two things. One, it does taste like the kind you get at a restaurant, the queso. Two, a little bit spicy for my liking. I'm very sensitive. I know it's crazy but I think those fire roasted tomatoes next time I might not use I might not use that because it's a little spicy but it's real good y'all. You should try. You should try it and if you make it and you do something different, let me know because I I want to know. I love queso. I'm just going to keep eating this.

Shall we? Alright, start by adding a block of softened cream cheese to the bottom of the nine by nine bacon dish and then smoosh it down into a layer across the bottom and then add a can of Hormel No Bean Chili. Just poop it right in there and then smoosh that down as well but don't use your hand. That's gross. Use a spatula or something. Spread it out as another layer and then add a layer of diced onion, a layer of diced bell pepper. You don't need this part though. Uh and then lastly, let's do a layer of freshly shredded white cheddar cheese. Actually, let's do some orange cheddar cheese on this as well and then just take the whole thing. Put it in the oven at like three until that cheese melts and everything's nice and warm and bubbly. I covered it with hot sauce because I like it spicy but you don't have to. If you got cilantro in your pocket, put some of that on there. Grab a chip, scoop up a bite, and put it in your mouth. That's good.
