What makes this different from you’re typical elastic waistband is that the front is still structured, meaning you still have the appearance and feel of a firm waistband while in the back you have the comfort and flexibility of elastic. I’ve been wanting to make a tutorial to share with you all for ages so finally here it is! In this skirt example, the fabric I used has cord embroidery all over. Though the fabric is a light cotton, the embroidery makes the fabric heavier and also harder to gather. I therefore couldn’t make the stitching line
