building a home

one day i’m going to have a home that feels like a home from a single glance. it will hold people, it will host tea parties and late nights of talking, and midnight pancakes, and be full of trinkets that each tell a story. it will smell of fresh baked bread and ripe fruit. it will have plants in every room, and a skylight, and a fireplace, and cozy nooks and crannies to curl up in with a mug of spiced cider or cocoa when it’s gray and raining outside. but more than anything, it will have love.
