The BEST "icebreaker" activity for high school students | Jen Siler's Classroom
This is the only icebreaker that I use with my high school science students! I've used it for over 5 years and it is always my favorite day of the year. This icebreaker activity allows you to 1) talk science on day one 2) randomly group students for your seating chart 3) spend time getting to know your students and 4) allowing them to get to know you! -by ⚛ Jen Siler's Classroom
The M&M Game
This is a great first day/week activity for getting to know students, and they will love it because it involves candy! They randomly choose an M out of the bag, depending on the color they choose they will answer a question about themselves. If some students do not like chocolate you could use Skittles instead. 0642
