i mean have you ever heard about georges bataille?

he basically:

- had a deadly boring job at the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris

- which allowed to focus his energy on writing very obscure books on eroticism, mysticism, death, etc

- hung out with surrealists and communists

- founded a secret society which had nocturnal gatherings in the woods

- also planned his own death as a part of a human sacrifice ritual but apparently none of the members of the society were willing to be the executioner
