about

Victoria Jordanova: harp
Jérôme Descamps: trombone and cello

Blending improvisation with composition, Jérôme Descamps and Victoria Jordanova explore two seemingly incongruous sound worlds: free jazz improvisation and 21st-century classical music. Their musical dialogue spans a wide emotional range - bizarre, humorous, exotic, and profoundly moving.

This recording highlights these two spheres as luminous orbs in the same sky, distinct yet intertwined, offering a unique and evocative listening experience.

Jordanova “has a tightly controlled focus to her work, a singularity of vision” (NewMusicBox Magazine, USA)
Decamps’ music is “dark in tone yet elegant and poetic in its minimalist approach.”
(Citizen Jazz, France)
