Gorgeous stuff - and that fretless bass on "rot and feather"? Yes. Jacolicious. Karnalicious. Also noteworthy: the album seems to end where it starts, as the end of the last track seems to carry over to the beginning of the first. Love it. Ouroboros, thy name is Ged!

This is the one. First time I heard this album I was walking along the coast; I stopped, stared out to sea, and watched the waves roll in (as I listened to the .wavs roll in) for the next half hour. Wow. If you haven't heard this, I envy you the first time. In a way, we've all been granted a new "first time" with this remix. Really looking forward to hear what new things I can discover in an old familiar friend. (Now I just have to get back to the beach. ) Thanks, MGG -- this one means a lot!

I am going to resist the temptation to make a joke about the precision of Swiss timekeeping and just say: wow. This is hypnotic and disciplined music that could not groove any harder. It's as impossible to resist as it is to count. The skill on display is massive but always in the service of the music - never showy. Just an exceptional album. Kudos!

This really is superb, and credit must be given to Mr. Thaddée for his probing and insightful questions and for leaving AM room to dilate -- and dilate he does. Sparkling conversations. I know it's churlish to ask for more, but there are so many more h3o releases that might be discussed. I hope that an equally lengthy sequel that focuses on some of them is in the works!

An ultra-slow-motion view of what happens when a distant EF5 spins together Personable, the genius behind _Ishi_, and a powerful subwoofer.
