Wonderful stuff.
Doireann's fiddle has a rawness to it, that makes this album cut through the excessively 'studio-ified' recordings of late to stand out. Sarah's playing has a similarly natural quality, with a breathiness reminiscent of Cormac Begley.
Doireann and Sarah's rendition of some of the best tunes in the tradition is something rather special to behold. I've not heard Drowsy Maggie sound that good before!
