class ep, top to the bottom. calling crack sirens a jungle track is a bit misleading as the chops/programming are worthy of squarepusher/idm/early breakcore; great silent hill source sample flip as well. as great as that track is though derelict girls might just be better!

is there any more of this sort of technoid jersey/b'more out there? is this a proper genre? because this is great

cheddared this is the remastered version of the mixes with all elements given space to breathe and not brickwall cramped to death.

my preferred running order though: humb, creole, waterdogs, gryll, mercury, shiver, manta, bendy, antarctica, chalk, loverboy, fof, superfree, ski hi, stoned

came for menthol box's shoegaze jungle (tidy enough), stayed for full body 2. what a discovery. plus the release is on a free*, can't really go wrong.

very easy listen, burn and short-term effect the stand-outs in my opinion. feel like they missed a trick with the tracklisting though, 'lament', 'just one kiss' or any of the superb wish-era b-sides would have seemed like obvious candidates.

'spread love' has got such undeniably jungle-era soichi terada vibes (so, the ape escape soundtracks) i would urge anyone who is a fan of his to give this a spin, and vice versa. melodically david wise's ambient tracks also spring to mind!

personally prefer the more technoid hardcore rollers to the jazzy/atmospheric dnb making up the latter half of this comp; i'm certain people more inclined to a guy called gerald or the bukem/peshay/makoto crew would tell you the opposite.
