  1. Perfect Lavender (PGR 008)
    by Furniteur
    Swimming Swimming
First cassette in my collection! Not gonna lie, this is the album that inspired me to start said collection. I feel like this album should be played on a cassette specifically. The vocals on this album are so soft and pretty and soothing, especially on the track swimming. This whole album reminds me of summer nights in the late 2000's and early 2010's. That carefree endless vibe that felt like mundane magic.

My Prima Nox My Prima Nox
Right from the very first track I knew that I would love this album. It opened bombastic and epically! I adore the guitar solo in My Prima Nox. The whole album is full of fantastic guitar riffs, amazing choirs, and enchanting vocals that remind me of older eras of symphonic and power metal. For that, I couldn't resist getting the album.

Maybe I Don’t Know It Yet, but Good Things Are Coming Soon Maybe I Don’t Know It Yet, but Good Things Are Coming Soon
Maybe I Don’t Know It Yet, But Good Things Are Coming Soon just really resonated with me; I relate to the lyrics so much that it hurts. And that's the kind of catharsis I seek in music. Combine that with the melancholic but beautiful tone & atmosphere of the rest of the album and you get a truly haunting experience. It's rare to come by music so emotionally evocative.

A capture and pink dream moment spike A capture and pink dream moment spike
This is a very special album for me. I listened to A Capture... for the first time on my 1st international vacation. Went to Iceland and I listened to this on the bus that took my mom and I on our aurora hunt. It was lightly foggy with a drizzle, late at night. The auroras never showed but I'll never forget the ambiance. My mom is no longer with me, but this album reminds me of her just because she was next to me while I listened to it. A Capture... encapsulates the feeling of those memories.
  5. Season of Raven Words (reworked, 2024)
    by Lethian Dreams
    White Gold White Gold
This album is like a specter. The vocals are so soft and ghostly, like the wind through the trees or a foggy day. The songs sound like the album cover. This is the kind of music that you put on after you bundle up and head out for a morning walk when the weather is gloomy and the mist is rolling in.
  6. Winterhewn
    by Appalachian Winter
    Ice Heart Ice Heart
My CD collection doesn't have nearly enough Symphonic Black Metal. I can't remember how I happened upon this artist but I decided that this album would be a great addition to said collection. I tend to prefer Black Metal with nature & winter themes and this very much fit the bill.

    Ņŷx Ņŷx
Ċħŗĕąŧōš is such a cool album. Pretty much everything by ßęđŧīmĕ Šŧōŗĩėş is really neat. This artist has such a unique sound that I really haven't heard from any other artist even within the same genre. The vocals are hauntingly beautiful. The ambience of this album reminds me of old haunted, forlorn cathedrals.

ΔXIUS LIИK - KØHCTAHTA ΔXIUS LIИK - KØHCTAHTA
Picking just one favorite song off of this album was borderline impossible. ΔXIUS LIИK picks some of the best samples and knows how to use them well. Нас Нǝ Дøгøня✝ is the one that got me into ΔXIUS LIИK as I am a big fan of t.A.T.u. Stuck around for all of the other songs and was not disappointed. I love the darkness and eeriness of many of the tracks.

Came for the band name and aesthetics, stayed for the music! I very much intend to play this on my way to the Mothman Festival.

Love this album. Destruction Age and If You Care are the two tracks that really drew me in. But Destruction Age has quite a few great tracks.

Adore this album. Pino†Angel has quickly become a favorite artist in this genre for me. Lots of amazing samples and super cool cover artwork.

Once In A While (Remastered) Once In A While (Remastered)
Just amazing vocals and dark elegance in each track. Rosegarden Funeral Party has me nostalgic for 80's goth aesthetics.

    Ósýnileg Ósýnileg
This is such a hauntingly beautiful album. Everything by Kælan Mikla is absolutely ethereal and carries the listener off to a far away frigid place. It's like a wintery fairytale but in the form of a song.

Culttastic's self titled album was pretty much love at first listen for me. I bought the album within a day of hearing it lol. It just has such an unusual vibe to it and I just dig that.

This album (like all of Mechina's stuff) just takes me to a new and futuristic world. Telesterion is an overall incredible album with an amazing atmosphere.
