On first listen this is an album full of beautiful reflective piano music. You can hear many influences including JS Bach, a number of jazz pianists and perhaps Ravel and Satie. I highly recommend it and look forward to spending time getting to know it well.
The piano on this album is, at one and the same time, both sparse and full meaning. Every pause is perfectly timed. Every phrase reveals something new which welcomes the listener into the music.
