    King Queen King Queen
Offensive, obscene, yet somehow pulls off a gleeful maniacal atmosphere that makes you smile.

If you were going to start somewhere, this is as good a place as any. Catchy, roguishly and casually evil, the personality of front-man Oderus shines through as a musical version of Bruce Campbell-as-monster. You're not listening just to the music...you're listening to the band, if you can catch my drift.

Great album but to really enjoy GWAR as it should be...SEE THEM LIVE.

The haunting, fluid notes of Highmare spread across a lake of stoner rock and the wake sends me beneath the surface, receding on a warm bed of spaghetti noodles slithering through my ears into my brain.

I am incapable of listening to this one without doing a horrible old guy impersonation of those balloon creatures you see in front of used car lots.

    Dollhouse Dollhouse
SS was a brief, bright burst of 90s goth that because a club staple. They have three studio albums which feel outnumbered by live albums (this is one), compilations, and reissues.

Many bands' live music is a facet of the diamond; SS shines in the studio, where they focus and mix their sound to perfection; live it feels anemic and when musical deviations occur there is no way to mask or pull it back into the composition.

TLDR: SS is good gothy stuff, but stick to the three studio albums.
