I hear many influences, connections, or inspirations from other composers: minimal music, musique concrète, Arvo Pärt, H.M. Górecki, Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Steve Roach, and even Edgar Varèse. Maybe it’s just my imagination, but honestly, I didn’t expect such an interesting album made with so few notes.
My favorite track is No. 1 (the longest one), and the final track forms a beautiful counterpoint to the quiet sounds of tracks 1 to 3.
