This album would fit nicely on a shelf with my favorite independent rock records form the 90s from labels like Drag City and Merge. There’s enough dissonance, energy, and edge to keep things fresh and interesting, but it’s all nestled inside a layer of atmospheric guitar effects and dreamy layered vocals. I love this record!
